More precisely, it looks like it crosses it path from right angles in clueless fashion and may have been rammed by the jet and then you see the explosion. You may be right, but to time to hit the jet is much narrower than fouling its path would be and that's my impression.
Well, that's true. It's really hard to tell. I wonder if If the pilot of the helicopter or even the plane had a medical event.
Nothing looks out of line with the jet on its approach. It would not see the helicopter in time to make any evasion if it "lunged into view" from their right across their path like it did.

Now for the chopper, if flying carelessly enough, would not necessarily see the big plane approaching from left either, but what was it doing in that air space flying so casually? It doesn't look out of control either but if there is an event its probably with it.

The CRJ700 was lined up for runway 33 which is not used as often (shorter). Wondering if the helo thought it was staying clear of the normal inbound traffic and missed that the jet was cleared for the other runway.

Not if it crossed its path and is "T-boned" which is what looks like to me. If its a ramming, its not the kind of
plane you would think would.

For the moment, lean 70% or much greater some kind of stupid accident. An air-space issue or the chopper to mulish about what it was doing (if govt on some mission)

It's Class B airspace from the surface up to 10,000 ft. No way ATC wasn't involved.
