The new taqueria opened in the former La Familia location by the new owners of the Chevron on Barron Rd. BFX Tacos.
Given how well it appears La Familia is doing in their new location, I'm curious how BFX will do. Personally, I do intend to give them a try.

If everyone is smart and orders by phone the drive-thru line moves quickly

I think I used to get 2 breakfast tacos at old Mi Familia for about 7 bucks.

Went to La Familia for late breakfast. We Really enjoyed our Tacos! We will definitely be back. Super nice staff too!
I can get a Hangover taco for that price... In fact, I usually get 2, to make sure I am stuffed.

The new La Familia Taqueria is nice but the red salsa is awful. Soupy and has a strange seafood taste to it. Really hope they have other types.
The green sauce has always been the way to go

Ask for the medium green salsa. Thank me later. It is awesome. They used to sell jars of it for Christmas presents.
But their red has always been good too, if you like mild salsa. Not sure what happened there they just have had a bad batch. I will investigate this weekend.
Just make sure to call ahead so you aren't holding up the line for red salsa.

I always call in my order and then walk past the schmoes waiting in the drive thru line and pick it up at the counter. Ordering at the window is just flat out rude.
In the prehistoric days of my youth, a lot of DQ and taco joints in the 956 that ordered at the window had you order and then go around and get back in line.

I remember ordering at the drive through at DQ then parking nearby and waiting half an hour. Fast food it was not.

Drive-thru line is backed up this morning at La Familia. I'm going to assume no one called in their order ahead of time.

I was 6th car in line. left when I was 4th and figured it would be a half hour plus before I even ordered
Call ahead and go inside to pay and pick up. Parking is plentiful.
If people would even call while they are in line it would help a little.

Sad to see Kyura Men close, we were planning to try them on our next date night because they had some dishes we rarely see at other places around here, like okonomiyaki and omurice.

Oh no I didn't realize that's where they were opening. I liked them a lot and thought they were the best of the ramen joints. Alas. They never seemed busy but that seems to be par for the course now.
This doesn't sound like a win-win or knocking it out of the park will happen soon with this company. Maybe another company can step in and pick up the pieces.

That's not good. I wasn't able to watch the video. Did they name the contractor? I didn't see it mentioned in the article.
