Until the lakers play the clippers, then the clippers will be one of the best teams, vinny coach of the year, and chauncy will be the cure for cancer...and aids.

Not one lob.

The Spurs own shortened seasons.

I watched the Clips and Warriors... was shocked at how many shots Billups took. I'm guessing his time is limited on that team so both he and the Clippers want to pump up his stats a little to make him more attractive trade bait. Billups shouldn't be taking 20 shots on a team with Griffin and Paul.

Yea that was surprising. The ball definitely wasn't in Paul's hands enough. Billups needs to be a spot up shooter and back up pg...and that's it.

Ginobili came back ready to play this year. Hopefully he keeps it up.

The Spurs are shooting a rediculous amount of 3's these first two games. They are shooting well and winning, but there are going to be some blowout losses on nights we are not hitting them.

Also encouraging, last night was one of the best, if not the best games Jefferson has had as a Spur.

i was surprised how uninvolved CP3 was in the game.

We'll see what he's doing in a couple months. If I remember right, he started off pretty hot last year.

Don't look now, but those old slow Spurs have the 3rd highest scoring and 4th lowest points allowed. Of course it's very early, but it's a good sign.

One thing I just remembered is that Gary Neal hasn't even been in the rotation yet. Once he comes back in a few weeks we will be even deeper.

I figured they'd be 0-2 at this point. Color me surprised. Or completely clueless.

Jefferson played really well. Especially later in the game. Early on we did not run any plays through him.

We need to find more ways of getting him mid-range jumpers. He was money from 15-18 ft last night.

Clippers are vastly overrated/hyped.

Billups is and will be a cancer for them

Gordon was a huge key to their offense. And i think Vinny might be the single worst coach in the league

Simplebay is back on a Spurs' thread.

Yikes. Spurs laid an egg in the first half.

Pop wasnt playing to win that game. it was a smart move on his part. i would take 2-1 in a 4 day stretch all season. We need to rest the bodies for the playoffs.

I wouldn't say the Spurs tanked the game. They just played shitty through the third quarter and the probablity of them coming back with the starters wasn't very good. Rockets just flat out outplayed them.

Played to win until it was out of reach. Then started resting people.

Pop rested his starters because they were sucking. Splitter was out playing Duncan. Tim and Manu went something like 3-18 from the field.

I'm starting to think this is going be a home cooking season. I've already seen a bunch of games where the home team really plays well and the road teams tank. With no training camp I'm thinking the familiarity of the home court plus the home crowd energy is making a huge difference.

good win today. Manu is playing great right now. he just needs to stay healthy this season.

Also, sleeping in one's own bed and performing a familiar & comfortable daily routine (meals, using own car, facilities, etc)

Brittle Manu out with a broken hand. Spurs defense looks atrocious. What tuned out to be a promising season looks to be going down the tubes as this team only goes as far as Manu takes us.

Crap. Gonna need him back soon. Hopefully it's just a few weeks.

Shooting hand. Probably won't know much until tomorrow but does not look good.

You could tell it was bad when he was walking to the back, Tim asked him if he was okay...and Manu just shook his head grimacing. One silver lining is that the young guys will get playing time. They just need to try and play .500 ball until he gets back, assuming he does comeback.

shoot for top pick in the draft. it's a short season.

Looks like Spurs will survive 38 points by Ellis. Up by 6 with 13.3 tics left. Spurs will move to 4-2.

Pop coached that W tonight. Curry's injury helped too. Splitter was awful. After tonight the Spurs need to assign him to the Silver Stars. Ellis was incredible.

Spurs up 81-61 with 3:10 to go. Will move to 5-2 and 2-0 without Manu. Bonner with 17 and RJ with 16. Dang, if they could just show up every night.
