OKC blew the game open against Phoenix so it looks like they will win as well. Clippers win also so things didn't work out to well tonight for the Spurs. Glad we got the W.

Third game of a back to back to back, all on the road, and the Spurs shoot 58.8%.

I guess this puts the "OMG TEH SPURS SHOT SO GOOD AGAINST THE LAKERS! THEY NEVAR SHOOT CLOSE TO 60%" theory to rest.

While I'm surprised that % is that low, he has definitely improved his defense this year.

Pop has mentioned multiple times that this has been his best defensive season to date.

I'm going to go a little ghetto to explain why I loved the SJax acquisition.

Stephen Jackson has an edge, and he has balls the size of grapefruits. He was the only guy in the NBA crazy enough to actually FOLLOW Metta up into the stands.

If you don't think that's what the Spurs have needed all these years then we've nothing to talk about. He's the guy who scares the **** out of the other team because he can ball, but also because he can (and WILL) slap some *****es around too.

I will NEVER question having SJax on the court. He brings so much more than just putting the ball in the hoop. I absolutely LOVE the addition, and I'll STILL love it if he shoots 25% on the season.

Bonner said sometime this season that he really utilizes the scouting reports when playing defense. He attributes that to his success.

If they are able to pull it off this year, IMHO, his acquisition would have the catalyst for the run.

Not saying they couldn't have done it without him, but what you describe is spot on and it does wonders for team morale and mentality.

i don't necessarily know if the spurs need someone who the other team knows will jump off the bench and pecker slap them if they try and rough **** up, but i'll tell you what, kevin garnett and paul pierce wouldn't have acted like such a couple of badasses if they didn't have kendrick perkins back there to clean **** up.

Bonner has been playing a lot stronger on post defense, and sometimes you can see him beat the offensive player to the move. I've been impressed with what he has done on defense this year, although I still think his effectiveness will decrease significantly in the playoffs.

Manu didn't have a concussion. He had a small cut inside his ear. It required no stitches and he's fine.
