I am close to the point of wanting to blow this thing up and rebuild the farm season by trading key older pieces like Evo, deGrom, Seager, etc.
That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing what we could do once the lineup is healthy again and we could actually roll out a lineup with some consistency (which would also mean Skip no throwing out random ass batting orders that change daily). What is the potential of this lineup?

Jung 3B
Burger 1B
Duran 2B
Pederson/Foscue DH
Higgy/Jansen C
Carter CF
If Carter continues to struggle, you could move Langford to center and play Duran in the outfield and Smith, Foscue or Freeman at 2B.

Its a passable lineup IF you can get deGrom back on track and Leiter to take the next step.

I've been on the train of "they ain't telling us something" for a while now. A normal media corps would at least ask CY for an update regularly and by now, questions would be getting asked about why he's not back, why is this taking so long, etc. But instead the local media is counting down the days to Oxnard. So we're left to assume the worst since it's the Rangers.
If you aren't a .500 team by the end of June, this better be a fire sale in July. The only pieces I wouldn't trade are Leiter and Rocker, just to see if both can make the leaps upward in the years ahead. If they cannot, then thins thing just better not waste another high pick on a pitcher, as they just need to trade/sign starters going forward. This thing has not drafted and developed a number 1 pitcher since Kevin Brown or Kenny Rogers (if either could be called a 1) since the late 80s/early 90s.
And I before I do that, I fire Chris Young and get someone else in here to take over the organization, someone who can work the trades to get their prospects that fit their vision. But I doubt Ray Davis is gonna do that...

I would also look to clean house with the scouting team. People forget that Kip F. with scouting has been here the whole time.
Ray Davis is 84; does anyone have any insight to his succession plan for the Rangers ownership? Split the ownership between his kids? Sell his shares to the other minority shareholders?
The only thing that will get the ownerships attention is the lack of rears in the seats. Then attention will be paid and things will happen.
Letting Bochy walk was not smart imo. I do think he would have a better record right now than Skip.
I got frustrated with the same lineup night after night, but the new approach is just ridiculous.

I don't, but I do think he's a problem right now. Got his title now he wants to run a cash flow producing business, not a championship base baseball team. It's the Jerry model. I do hope he sells soon. Valuations are insane right now (see the Padres) and his group could cash out well.

Agree completely with this. Davis' approach to the Rangers is like Jerry Jones but without him constantly being in the spotlight. The on-field product is driven to mediocrity just the same. It's a huge issue because obviously changing GM's, managers, or players doesn't fix this root cause.

He has always wanted a cash flow producer. It was just that in 2022, they had a payroll of like $30 million returning and they had to spend cash to just get some talent here, so they signed Seager, Semien, and Cole Calhoun. 2023 ended up being a huge success, obviously, so CY and Bochy had Davis convinced to keep spending, but in the offseason, we saw a lot less spending, which looking at the product we have either really makes a lot of sense to not spend a dime more or a complete error in judgment as this AAAA squad is going nowhere.
