This team is wildly confusing. I know KC is pretty bad but still. Getting Langford back and plugging him into CF is the next big step. I'd tell Langford you're in CF for the foreseeable future. Make it yours.

Nimmo RF
Jung 3B
Langford CF
Seager SS
Duran 2B
Burger 1B
Carter/Osuna LF
Higgy/Jansen C

Josh Smith back in the utility role, along with Cody Freeman. Duran has certainly earned his way in to the every day lineup.

Id still 100% look to trade Seager. I'm just not a huge fan and we have Walcott coming up in a year or two.

I would agree, except Walcott had season ending elbow surgery in February. So this is a lost season. I'm not looking for him in Arlington until 2028.

I would think 2027 if he is as good of a prospect as we think.

The earliest we would see him next year imo would be mid summer. He's not going to play the field this year, but he should be able to return to a lineup and hit post All-Star break at some point. So say he gets 1/3 of the minor league season hitting this year, and then half next year when he's fully back. He'd have to absolutely kill it at the plate though in that time span.

I had the same thought this week.

Zeke has played 30 straight games (He's an Iron man)and has solidified himself as a major player on this team. I haven't been in the trade Seager group all year but Zeke would be serviceable for the foreseeable future. And he's cheap.

IMO the biggest plus for trading Seager is the fact that A, he has a huge salary, and B, he's hurt all the time. He ties up a ton of resources for someone who can't keep from getting injured. He's also getting to the age where the injury frequency is only going to increase. JMO

Agree with both of the above, and yet I suspect if he is in fact traded, his new team will either DH him or put him at 3rd or 1st - if not immediately, then pretty soon.

I just don't understand why he wouldn't be interested in a change in roles like that. Obviously his best asset is his bat. And when he's fielding at his best, you're getting slightly above average fielding at best. If I'm Seager and get asked if all I want to do is hit and get paid the same money, I'm telling the team hell yeah. Especially if it helps keep me from getting hurt so much.
