They spend the entire last season at a wedding that ends in divorce, where Ted falls out of love with robin, just for him to ask her out at the end...
Wow. That sounds mind-numbingly dumb.

55 solid minutes and they end it that way.

They made us love the mother then tossed her away so easily for a character that's been slowly going down hill for a while. I feel cheated.

Worse than Dexter's finale.
quote:
Life isn't always happily ever after, and the daughter was right about how the story was never really that much about the mom since she was barely in it.
quote:Okay, maybe I exaggerated there. But I still hate this. It doesn't have to be happily ever after to have a good ending. But basically writing off Barney and having Ted get back with Robin is ridiculous in my mind.
A puppy dying of AIDS wouldn't be worse than the Dexter finale.
quote:Yeah, I overreacted. My bad on that one, but it is still awful...
I understand you're a little upset right now. That's no reason to say crazy things that we don't mean...

Probably one of the worst series ending ever.

This finale was terrible. Literally ruined the entire series, forever.

quote:In all fairness though, this season hammered and hammered and hammered that Robin and Ted should not be married.
The entire last season was based around a wedding that ended in a divorce. The divorce could happen even, but then don't spend an entire last season with the wedding as the setting.

Exactly. To me that’s what makes it extra crappy. All the bull@#$ about how he was telling the kids the story about meeting their DEAD mother – was really a story about how he’s ALWAYS been in love with Aunt Robin and would have ended up with her sooner if it just hadn’t been for that other lady that gave birth to them.
