unfortunately that was about the only good moment of the episode. I thought this one was pretty weak.
I thought the sword fighting and the walking in on the grandparents was pretty funny.
So, what's the deal ith the Carousel?
Where he went to Robin in the rain and helped try to dig up the locket, then held hands like a little *****.
The bro code arguement was greatness this week.
Kind of disappointed in last nights. It was alright but I thought by now we would have seen more of the mother incorporated into things. I thought for sure Robin's new girlfriend would end up being the mom and that's how robin would meet her.
Is Segal doing a movie or something?
Jim...I agree..That would have been a perfect segue into the mom continuing to join the group. Ted wasn't around, so he hasn't "met" her yet, but it would make it easier for them to accept her into the group.
I have to be honest...I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of her involvement in this season. I was expecting we would get more of her story instead of what appears to just be episodes with her filling in to keep it going.

I still think the series will end with him meeting the mom on the train after the wedding. Cut to them talking to the kids "And that kids is how I met your mother".

Agreed.
Also, the line about Barney being too busy greasing 12 year olds made me laugh hard. And Marshall's stone faced reply was perfect, "helpful, continue..."
I feel sorry for the actress that plays Lily. They have turned her character into one of the most annoying characters of all time.
So far I think this season has sucked but I've watched long enough that I'm going to finish the show no matter how bad it might get.

The one setting hasn't bothered me so far, but I can't help but wonder of that was part of the problem in last night's episode. We're already just over two days before the wedding, so they have to go slllooooowww. I didn't hate the Robin's girlfriend storyline, but I think they're going to stretch it into an arc, and I don't see that much there (even though I think eventually that's how Robin is going to meet the mother).
Some of the bits were funny last night. I really liked the Weekend At Bernie's references and great throwback to the Karate Kid, but overall I felt like nothing happened.

It probably should in the final season, especially considering the past couple seasons.
I don't get the Lilly hate. All the characters have flaws, and all of them are annoying in different ways. Just part of the story being told.

Those were all more than ok. "Barney and Ted go to the beach and discuss Ted's feelings for Robin" just doesn't do it for me in that regard.

Weak episode I thought. I really hope the back twelve have a better pace cause so far the front twelve ain't looking good.
Did the show see an exodus of writers at some point in the series? New show runner?

Couple funny lines but all in all I'm pretty "meh" with this season. Let's get to the mother story line already.

Is it safe to say that everyone still watching this series only to see the mother's storyline? I won't lie the sumb*tches scene was the best so far.
I'm surprised we haven't seen her much. I thought the same as others; that she would meet everyone else during the party and Ted last.

No. I am enjoying the season and am happy to go wherever the writers and actors are taking it.
I honestly couldn't care less about the mother. It was the episodes that were just about young professionals getting drunk, getting laid and having a few laughs that were the best.
It should have had a saproano like ending. The last scene of the last episode he walks in to McClarins, Barney says "Have you met Ted?" and the bob saget says "and that is how I met your mother.
