Damn, had 55 unread posts because I couldn't watch until tonight, and I was so excited to come check out the good conversation. All I get is people *****ing about how bad the show is. I swear, y'all could eff up a wet dream.

I think RIP was against it too because John is still sore and not fully healed himself.

This also has not been my favorite season, but I still enjoy Yellowstone more than the Netflix film the Power of the Dog which just drug along.ODraconianDevil said:
This show has 14 irons in the fire and we're only seeing about 1.5 of them each episode. Really frustratingly slow development. We get ambiguous 30-second glimpses of what should be the primary storylines, but spend half an episode on a bunkhouse conflict that's been hashed and rehashed 4 times at this point.
I'm kind of surprised they've followed Jimmy as long as they have. I figured he'd move down there, that'd be that, and it'd be the spin off of the new show. Wonder how long they'll keep following him.wbt5845 said:

Visit Taylorworld, ride the roller coasters, stay in a Dutton cabin and do the half-day 1883 experience...all coming to Guthrie in spring 2030!

Hope they don't just dismiss without addressing the Teeter/branding thing.
The brand was such a big deal to John that the "hired gun" from last season paid for it with his life.
Yet Teeter just walks -- with back/severance pay when John decides "the gals have gotta go?"
Consistency ... thou art a virtue ... that should not be lost due to poor writing/plot line building.

Don't you try and use realistic logic in my man's soap opera.Canyon99 said:Goodson said:

Well if you are worried about poor writing the entire ranch preservation ordeal could be taken care of overnight with a conservation easement through a land trust such as Montana Land Reliance. The Duttons keep title to their land and restrict development of their land according to their management goals. Of course, the show would have been over after one or two episodes had Beth or Jamey been smart enough to advise John of this fact.

I like that "John Dutton somehow convinces a vegetarian environmentalist, who is less than half his age, to bang him, while on his cattle ranch..." is way down the list of questionable plot twists and/or 'WTF is going on here' stuff.
I guess he thinks Piper is hot. One of those attracted to your enemy.Bunk Moreland said:Goose said:

This is called writing for a scene, not story. Was all set up to get that 'epic' Beth scene going after a woman that is 1) with her dad and 2) the opposite of everything she/they represent. Made zero sense for John to give 2 ****s about that woman at the protest.
