Tonight's episode had a healthy dose of 1883 towards the start. After that, the episode focusing on present day just kind of meandered around imo. But Jimmy did score so, there's that.

it just seemed too sloppy to be anything planned. the kinda peeps that would be in on a hit on John would have been much tighter in execution I feel.

Unless Jamie's dad is just that hell bent on killing him and hiring any loser he can.

Random. The head robber commented that "the cowboys were gone" or "had come back". They had no idea who John Dutton was. Just meth heads looking for money.
Sucks that Donnie kicked the bucket though. I liked his character.

I'm nearly over this show. Too much unnecessary romance and rodeo fluff. Half of the damn season has been B-roll. There are enough genuinely interesting plot lines that need to be focused on and sorted out but episodes like last nights don't seem to get us any closer to tying up loose ends. Plus, there's only 2 episodes left so I see a huge disappointing cliffhanger coming our way to tease Season 4..

Its pretty clear there will be a lot of unanswered pieces at the end of the season.
At some point they have to pay off or they will start losing a lot of audience

I liked the actor that played Donnie but did not think his character's motivations were always well explained. I'm still not sure why he tried to screw Rip when he had to shoot that bear.

Out of curiosity, anyone else randomly have the next episode record? I was looking at my DVR tonight and next weeks episode recorded at 1am-2:30am. I thought maybe something was messed up and started the episode and it is in fact a new episode. Haven't watched it, but seems really odd?? Especially given the time recorded. The beginning of the episode starts with John teaching Carter how to ride a horse.

That was just a sneak peek at a scene next week. They did that with the dinner table conversation this episode. The rest of what you recorded was the 1883 premiere. (At least that's what I got)

This last episode was really really boring. I hope they are just using it to set up a bunch of stuff. It was completely uninteresting. I'm looking forward to the spin-offs just because I'm hoping the writing efforts have gone to them instead.
