I'll leave it at this, a person I know very well called Sam Middleton and asked to look at the Frisco Creek Ranch. He replied that it was pending and that he'd let him know if it fell through. That was back in January of 2021. I was in the guy's vehicle when he called Sam.

It absolutely was sold as 3 separate divisions all belonging to the 6666 (one package deal).

"Offered collectively as a package with the 6666 Dixon Creek Ranch Division and 6666 Frisco Creek Ranch Division."

Additionally, the reason people are saying the price was reduced was because the ranch was first listed for $347 million at 266,000 acres. Once they split the divisions, the main ranch was listed for $192M at 142,000 acres. They look at the two price tags without looking at the amount of land that was for sale. So to your question, the broker is missing a lot of facts.

What came the broker? The 40% price reduction? No. There was no price reduction on any of the 6666 Ranch offerings. Again…people talking about something they know absolutely nothing about. You included apparently.

Sorry sweetheart - no information come from the broker. From the article:

"The Four Sixes Ranch near Guthrie in West Texas officially sold on Friday, according to Sam Middleton, owner and broker for Chas. S. Middleton and Son Farm-Ranch Sales.

Middleton couldn't provide more details, but it's been widely reported that Taylor Sheridan, the co-creator and producer for Paramount's "Yellowstone" series, led a group that purchased the sprawling ranch."

And also from the article:

"At more than 142,000 acres, the Four Sixes was initially listed for $341 million. The most recent listing on the Chas. S. Middleton website had the property going for just under $200 million. Final sale details were not released."

The acreage above also shows different as rak1693 is saying. The original $341 million was for 266M acres and the above states just the main portion of 142M which corresponds to the list price on the "website" change - although all three were in the final sale, that much is known. Can't use list prices on a website to say anything about the final sale details (as is clearly stated).

I have never seen so many people so confused about a simple statement. How anyone could construe the original comment into what this has turned into is beyond me.

That price is not correct. Trust me. No news agency , website or reporter has any idea what the actual purchase.

Are you saying the list price is not accurate?

The list price was the list price. The list price was not the sale price.
I don't doubt that and I think most understand that real estate often sells for less than list (particularly when it's already been reduced 40%). But the post you disputed didn't say it sold for list price. It said it sold for under $200 million. I presume that is accurate.

Listen to AgAE. He knows what he is talking about on this matter just as he would the Waggoner.

The main division (142,000 acres) is listed here for $192.2M. The $341M price was for all 266,000 acres. Like I said, they sold all divisions as a package. Any person that says differently is wrong. AgAE knows what he's talking about.

"purchased by a group led by "Yellowstone" producer Taylor Sheridan."

It's not like a single family suburban home - things like this are a group or corporate purchase.

Yes, yes they do. It is amazing to see the young foals that are bred for this kind of movement naturally do some rudimentary spins even before they are weaned.

My son posted a tictok a couple of weeks ago of one of our barn kittens that hopped on the back of one of our horses….,a reined cow horse. In the clip the horse naturally does a perfect spin for the kitten. The tictok got 3.4 million views in about two weeks. Incidentally, about every other morning when we first arrive at the barn, we find the kitten on the back of the horse which clearly likes having the kitten on her back.

Interesting side note, that scene where he is spinning was filmed as part of a reined cow horse show in Fort Worth this past summer. Without asking permission and as part of the scene, the Yellowstone folks put up a sign at one of the end gates that clearly spooked a number of horses during the reining portion of their finals run. (Sign was not there in the prelims and was there in the finals…..right where the horses are always looking for the cow to come out when they finish their reining run). It was a bit of a cluster so the Yellowstone producers just paid first place money to every contestant that made the finals…that sign ended up costing them about $200K. A lot of happy horse trainers that day…..they went from furious to elated.

I'm absolutely am saying that. They are professional horseman whose sole means of supporting their families is by training horses and showing the horses they have trained. If they were not in it for the money, they could compete at the non professional level. See NFL/MBA/MLB.

NO, she is quite enjoyable to look at.
Agreed.

As is Kasey. I can look at him, and Rip, and John, and Beth, and Jaime all damn day

Long before I watched this show, a friend was raving about it on ig and sharing meme. I thought it was a curious choice for her until I began watching. Her husband could be RIP on Halloween, all he needs is the black attire.

Agree there were too many rodeo highlights in S4.

John made a promise to Jimmy's grandfather that he'd turn him into a man. John lets Jimmy return to the Four Sixes because his job there is done, but assures him he always has a place at the Yellowstone. It was about John keeping his word to Jimmy's grandfather, and then Jimmy kept his word by coming back to the Yellowstone.

Glad Jimmy chose Emily over Mia. Mia loved Jimmy for what he could be as a rodeo star, Emily loves Jimmy for who he is, flaws and all.

Two favorite scenes:

-Blowing up the methheads' trailer after they killed Jimmy's grandfather. You kill one of ours, we kill everyone and blow up your house. A very Mafia response.

-Beth saving Monica in the store. "You're lucky she has a conscience, I was going to make you fuuuck the mannequin" might be the best line in the show.

I don't even know how many DQ we've had to to our animals spooking over banners, signs, chalk, shadows, etc. I find a fair bit of enjoyment thinking of the whining, sobbing, and general butt hurt that must ensue to force the show to pay up after some high dollar animal spooks. Friggin' reiners.

Even the juniors at local events don't ***** and moan after breaking pattern as some of those guys. I love it.
