oh look, Beth fired her new assistant for no reason at all.

how unpredictable.

so edgy! what a badass.

(otherwise good episode)

I love Beth for her badassness, but she's becoming a caricature of what she was the past 3 seasons. It's like they created this great character, but then messed it up a bit by making her "human" with loving Rip and taking in the kid, then felt the need to balance that out with ultra-bad ass all over that same kid, the activist chick, the new assistant, etc.

agree. I really like the idea of her character and most of the execution.

its just way too much a lot of the time for me.

I did appreciate that they at least gave Beth an "oh ****" moment when she walked into the meeting late and saw the resort laid out on the Yellowstone land(which I thought was already known).

But I also turned to my wife as she was walking to her office and said "oh she's going to fire her assistant". Way to predictable.

Did I miss something? Laramie was still in the bunkhouse. I thought they John kicked them all out.

Man I hate Monica's character. That scene where she was on the porch worried about the whereabouts of her kid had me cringing.

I can't wait to see what comes from the governor announcement. That came out of left field for sure.

Also, am I the only one that cannot stand seeing Jamie's bio father wearing a cowboy hat and a nice shirt when he just sits at home? He was a lowlife garbage POS and now he wears a pressed shirt and hat everyday of the week while sitting at home.

I mean I cringed but just because I cringe for every scene she's in. But not that unbelievable that a mom is worried about where her kid is when he's not in the house a few weeks after their home was ransacked by hitmen.

That's hilarious. I was wondering the same thing. Beth might be the only character we've seen at home in lounge clothes. If there's no work to be done, bust out the sweats and sneakers!

Yeah he went from a gray Hanes t-shirt with holes to dressed like a middle aged man on a date with his 4th wife at Gruene Hall in a hurry.

And all to just pal around the homestead.

She definitely said it wasn't about me, it wasn't about Laramie either, that was just a convenient excuse. Either way, agree that it didn't make sense for her to be back
My memory is mush - can someone remind me why Walker deserved the ride to the train station ? I thought the whole thing between Lloyd and Walker was because of Laramie. If it wasn't about her, is Lloyd mad that Rip brought him back ? He did say something like "he (Walker) shouldn't be here" but can't remember if it had something to do with him (Lloyd.).

I think he wanted to leave the ranch after seeing some of the shady side so the only way to avoid him blabbing about what goes on there was to take him to the train station. Kayce was supposed to do it but instead drove him somewhere and told him to stay out of Montana. Lloyd and Rip thought he was dead but saw him playing music in a bar somewhere and brought him back to the ranch.

That's right - it was Kayce - not Rip. No question Rip would've come back alone.

I feel like Jamie's dad has other motives instead of wanting what is best for Jamie. I think there's something that he wants, and will end up stabbing Jamie in the back at some point to get it. Just my own theory.

He's going to get ahold of that interview Jamie did and leak it without Jamie's consent when Jamie decides next episode to run against John for governor. Jamie is about to turn full heel and be financed by Market Equities or whatever it is. Rainwater will again have to make the choice to ally with the ranch. John will send Kayce to take out Jamie, but he cant do it.

My favorite part is the hat is too damn big. It rests on and pushes down his ears. When I first saw it I thought they'd done it intentionally but the more time passes and the lazier the writing gets, I'm not so sure. Because the straw hat he wore earlier in the show fit him just fine. Put a felt hat on the guy and all of a sudden I expect him to take flight.

When the Duttons found out the prisoner set up the assassination attempt, they gave it to Jamie and said," then we will know for sure.

What if they already know about "dad" being a known associate and were just wanting to see if Jamie figured it out, and came clean or did the chicken**** stuff he is doing now.

As soon as he had the interview and then did not do anything, they had their answer and the gloves are coming off?

Beth doesn't want Jamie to die. She wants to take everything from him, and for him to know it was her. She'd be pissed at Rip if he killed Jamie, that's basically the only thing that brings her joy. It's why she's going to push her dad to the governorship.

I'm curious why John/Kayce haven't asked Jamie about his conversation with the inmate yet. You'd think they'd be asking him every single day until they got some information, seems like too big a deal to not be pressing the issue.

So I know that Teeter has the brand, does Laramie too? Why is she still at the ranch if the girls were ordered to leave if not? John let Teeter stay, he didn't know she had the brand.

Feels like Jimmy is going to take Walker's advice and never leave the 6666. He's living a much better life in Texas than he was in Montana by a long shot. The thing I wonder about is whether it ends up being his choice since he's got the brand.

Having Laramie randomly there was some of the laziest writing I've ever seen.

I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that she's not living there anymore, just hanging out with Walker. She had to be there for Lloyd's gift offering.

When John was talking to Rip about the brand on Teeter, he asked when it happened "after we something something in the woods". Why didnt you tell me? "It was the day you were hit...hell. we were all hit" and then John asks "All of them?" and Rip nodded.

I think this indicates that "all the girls" have been branded. I cant remember seeing all of them in the scene though, its been awhile.

I think he just meant all of those that were in the woods. Laramie and Mia walked in the restroom when they had their shirts off and saw everyone with the brand
