Basically they were all doing what Sam Rockwells character did when he first got to Thailand.

They all (except for Mike White) look too great to have done that for that long, and then successfully have detoxed.

Like look- a Grey's freaking Anatomy or whatever can shoot 24 episodes in 6 months. So even if you double it for better production value, tack on "we needed 3 days each to move between 4 different locations", you're looking at 3 months at worst. I'm assuming you build 30 days of Mike White demanding to be the sole director and just not being able to get out of bed, that takes you to 4 months. There's a whole lot of missing months, and nobody is saying they were gone for any of it.

The fact that they are all consistently saying it is wild- and my guess would be publicly negotiating with whatever country they are trying to get tax credits from.

And now, because this show is full of nepo-babies, and EVEN being a nepo-baby is a HUGE theme of the show, we've got Steven fkn Spielberg's (quite accomplished actress) step-daughter Jessica Capshaw coming in and being like yeah I almost got that Leslie Bibb role but didn't. (And Leslie Bibb was great- top 5 this season, and that's hard to crack.) At some point the audition process came down to "Yes Steven Spielberg is your stepdad, who we'd LOVE to keep a good relationship with, and you're good, but do you have an Oscar winning partner who will come basically work for free, do monologues about getting fked by ladyboys and run around in leopard print briefs for essentially free? No? Um, OK, tell Spielberg not to be mad at us and we'll try again next season bc that's what you're working against."

This thing will never end.

At this point, I need a season of The White Lotus that's just various actors/actresses/nepo-babies murdering each other on a cruise ship to land a role on a season of the White Lotus. And Mike White's so diabolical, I'm not even convinced that would be farcical.

I didn't know this was Aimee Lou Wood's Grandfather!

Use the fake teeth in the character's costume but don't make the whole joke be the teeth (fluoride lead in), it would feel less mean. It doesn't even make sense since fluoride won't correct an overbite. Having the character say "munk-eee" was funny but they just reduced the character and actress down to bad teeth and funny accent.

It's what SNL is supposed to do, and you sign up for that life when you enter a public space.

You'll notice this little thing was run through Variety, trying to find scraps of anything, while The Hollywood Reporter was getting ALL the exclusives. (And they're owned by the same company!)&

I would agree there is no point in complaining, you were mentioned on SNL as a celebrity in the limelight and the crowd did laugh. It was an easy laugh, but the laugh didn't seem intentionally mean spirited. SNL writers making the character reference a little more nuanced, something about how she is drawn to RFK Lotus due to their differences and she wants to save him, and the actress saying something like "it was funny but my character was so much more than a set of teeth" would have allowed for less click bait. Chris Farley playing Carnie Wilson is way worse, along with probably 100 other examples, so celebrities need to thick skin but few have it.

I was today years old when I learned (established) nepo-baby Sam Nivola (Lochy- top 3 of the season for sure) is Emily Mortimer's kid.

She saved Aaron Sorkin's HBO The Newsroom, starred with Scarlett Johansson in a movie (who is in the SNL sketch that's now catching heat), starred with Ryan Reynolds (who's in the news for everything-less so lately for having divorced the aforementioned ScarJo), AND starred with Woody Harrelson (who we now know bowed out of at least 2 roles on this show.

(While her kid was dating nepo-baby Judd Apatow's daughter).

I now demand the movie "1 Degree of Separation" to replace "6 Degrees of Separation", which starred Stockard Channing (who saved Aaron Sorkin's ass on The West Wing), Will Smith (who needed to use a stand in to kiss a dude, when now Oscar winners do monologues about being fked by ladyboys for free), and JJ FKING ABRAMS when he was still an actor.

6 Degrees of Separation (IYKYK) has been moved down to 2, at most.

I think they worked 5 day weeks. It was under DGA and SAG jurisdiction and it looks like they brought the crew with them. Even 2nd's and 3rds. There are a handful of crew members that were local in low positions. But even then I have known Daemon Hillin for over 10 years who owns Benetone which is one of the bigger production services companies in Thailand and they shoot 5 day weeks.

Back when I worked production on set I worked close to two months of 14 hour + days with only and handful of days off sprinkled in. It was brutal.

I'm really just un-oddly fixated there are so many nepo-babies out there, and I'm not one.

One of many my brother.

Parker Posey wins the season. Uncle Baby Billy needed more playing time. The build up was fine, had much higher expectations for the finale. I'd give eps 1-7 a 7/10; the finale 3/10. We'll probably watch next season just to see if they can pull it out of the ditch, but this was a distant 3rd to seasons 1 and 2.
