I heard he rescued a baby from a burning building too! And everybody clapped afterword!!
With this background, what do we think his NIL deal with the 'sips will be?

I recall Colt McCoy swam miles, uphill, both ways, to save a bunch of drowning kittens or such. And that will always be greater than him sitting in the corner watching sexual assaults. Or was that his brother that was the voyeur?

Regardless, he is of the strong moral character they value in Austin.

Note they refuse to use any part of Austin Metcalf's name. It's an emotionally manipulative way to dehumanize the victim - to make him seem less human and less important.
Dehumanizing others it the #1 tactic of racists across the board. Has been going on forever because as the Bible says, "there is nothing new under the sun."

In the most extreme examples, it is used as a prelude to genocide such as we saw in Nazi Germany.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

I haven't read the entire thread so SIAP...

Once convicted, can the judge force him to pay the GoFundMe money to the victim's family as restitution?

That wasn't Colt. That was the younger brother, CeilingCat Mcoy.

Completely unrelated, my nephew met Colt McCoy last week (nephew is a student at TCU). He sent me a picture of the two of them with my nephew slyly doing the horns-down and told me Colt went down the second they shook hands. I love my nephew.

This is utter nonsense. Why in the world would you bring Colt McCoy of all people (by all accounts, a very decent person) into this?

Do you know of lots of murderers who played for UT? I do not. I remember one who played at A&M. I don't consider him to be representative of Aggie players, though.

No, but a civil court can regardless of whether Karmelo is convicted in criminal court or not.

Realize he hasn't been convicted yet, but can't profit off a crime, so they better spend that money quick before it ends up going to victims family

Not if the money is not "his".

I checked the givesendgo account. The money is being held by Kala Hayes. It will all be gone before there is any civil judgment.

The chutzpah of the NGAN President to say it was disrespectful for someone to show up uninvited to a public space and forceably have them removed.

The lack of awareness to warn people that they'd only be asked once to move...

Something tells me this video is going to come back on them.

Shaming the father for being there is unbelievable.

Hope it bites them in the ass like a ****ing tiger.

Alexander was first arrested in July 2009 for causing serious bodily injury to a child. Police reported he'd been babysitting his girlfriend's 2-year-old son for the evening when he called her at 11 p.m. and told her "to get home now."

...

But the doctor disagreed with his statement. He examined Alexander's girlfriend's son in the intensive care unit and reported that the child had a subdural hemorrhage between the halves of his brain and at the back of the brain. He also had retinal hemorrhages in both eyes.

"The severity of his injuries is not consistent with rolling off the couch," the investigating officer reported the doctor saying. "The injuries are acute and likely occurred around the time that [his girlfriend's son] started to have symptoms (like being unresponsive.) Without more adequate history of trauma, complainant's injuries are more consistent with abusive head trauma and child physical abuse."

Karmelo has shamed his entire family, no other way to put this. They will forever be known as the brother, father, mother, sister of a heartless killer. In a blink of an eye, Kamelo went from graduating high school student to a life of endless misery. His chances of becoming anything other than a career criminal is zero. The nice suits and press conferences are temporary, his destroyed future is permanent and absolute.

I heard his mom wailing on the radio about people being mean to her and her family. The son is the cause of this, once the creep's side show is over, coming to terms with what he has done will be a hard reality. He has destroyed so many people and needs to be punished harshly for his cowardly act.

Cheap lawyers will come and go but his stink will remain forever. No one will be stupid enough to riot for this dude, the reaction would be extreme.

That press conference was insane. Your son killed another kid. Stop making yourself the victim here. Crazy.
