Too bad we don't have the death penalty for anyone younger than 18.

It would not matter if we did in this case. Based on the fact, as we know them, this was not capital murder.

It is extremely disheartening to see the hoards and mobs on social media defending the murderer as the actual victim. How have we let society degenerate this much: to the point that we no longer value human life? To the point that any reason people can come up with when it's (d)ifferent is a good enough reason to justify executing another human and the killer is the real victim because some people want killers in prison.. We are totally lost when the mobs fully believe that Daniel Penny should be in prison but this karamelo kid is an innocent hero - and can't spot the differences in those scenarios other than skin tone.

It's social media. It's not real life.

People aren't marching in the streets for Karmelo.

Why? It was premeditated murder…

"Premeditated murder" is not sufficient to be capital murder in Texas.

It is gaslighting. They so badly want to believe there is more to it. But I have also noticed a whole lot of bot comments out there.

I'm pretty sure that is the criteria for 1st degree murder, not capital murder. Capital murder is murder during the commission of another felony, or something like that? IDK; I'm not a lawyer. I just listen to a lot of crime shows.

it's still disheartening to see it plastered all over social media as if it's actually the sentiment of real life society instead of online society and knowing how heavily the sentiment of our youth is influenced by social media.

Disheartening is putting it lightly.

So if it turns out that he had stolen items in his backpack from other people at the track meet, would it then be Capital Murder?

I thought because he had a weapon on school property, that was a felony. Which in turn makes it capital?

No because theft is not a felony sufficient to rise to capital murder under Sec. 19.03(a)(2) of the Texas Penal Code.

Those stats are staggering. If that doesn't show the major culture problem with a specific segment of the population, nothing will. I'd be interested in seeing the numbers over a 100 year span.

I bet they were much, much closer prior to the 70s/80s with much less disparity between races.
Something must have happened in the 70's that changed the direction of an entire race/culture.

Gee, I wonder what that something might have been?

  • It is a Class A misdemeanor offense for a person to intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly possess or enter the premises of a school or educational institution with a firearm, location-restricted knife, club, or prohibited weapon. New language includes intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly possessing or entering the premises of a high school or collegiate sporting event or UIL event, unless the person is a participant and the firearm, knife, club, or prohibited weapon is used in the event. Texas Penal Code 46.03(a)(8).

Exactly. The policies that the democrats put in place have destroyed the black family structure and the futures of black children.

It's probably unrecoverable at this point.
Its recoverable, but blacks would have to want it to be fixed fix it themselves .

Until they do, nothing will change.

As Malcom X said, the only person who can help the black man is the black man. It is time they took that to heart, took a long look in the mirror, and then got to work fixing their problems.
Nothing will change unless and until they take responsibility for the decay of their own culture and behavior and fix it themselves.

Pretty sure the knife and stabbing in the chest would make taking the bag from Austin an aggravated robbery.

If the facts come out that he was taking a bag from Austin, then yes, you are correct.

(I have not heard that version of events)

Step1 is distancing themselves from the the self loathing, overeducated white busybodies (and their **** husbands) that have convinced them that this is because of the racism they have faced, and that makes everything ok.

This is so disgusting !! Making that bank for murdering a white kid. Make NO MISTAKE they are contributing because he murdered a white kid. If he killed a black kid they would not give a ***** We have tens of thousands of examples to prove that. I challenge anybody to find an example of mass fund raising where an AA killed another AA. Furthermore SHAME

Currently at 198k check back in 5 minutes and it will probably be 225k

I read that he entered the tent, took the bag and taunted Austin (touch me and see what happens). Agree need the facts though and not the telephone game version of events.

That was exactly my point.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

No problem! (I didn't think you were)

Robbery in Texas requires taking something with the use of force.

And I suppose it is worse to purposely rob someone as opposed to being caught stealing… which is what I think happened.

I find it easier to believe he got caught stealing instead of purposely seeking out a confrontation with a knife…

Brandon Tatum has done a couple of videos on this crime as well as the response to it. Not surprising, he is coming out against Karmelo Anthony and the people supporting him. He also discusses the law and what charges might be brought. I'd be interested in other's thoughts.
