Yeah I don't agree with Irene, however, I think you misinterpreted what the others were saying. I think they were saying that some sin has more weight than others, which is true, you can use Old Testament logic to support that.
Now all sin has the same power to separate you from God. So under the new covenant I need the blood of Christ to save me just as much as Talarico and Paxton need the blood of Christ to save them. That doesn't change the weight of certain sins however. Mike Winger has a good episode of his show on YouTube about this.
Now what I'd ask is do you equate what Paxton has done with what Talarico has done? I would not. I would agree that both are probably lost, but I would weigh Talarico as much worse. Why? Because he is not just living in his own sin, he justifies sin for himself and others, and also speaks abject heresy about the truths found in both the old and New Testament. The harshest language/punishment in the New Testament is not reserved for murderers/adulterers/homosexuals/rapists, it is reserved for False Teachers. And that is why Talarico needs to be rebuked harshly, not because he may be a homosexual, but because he is leading many astray.

he was impeached by the Texas House with a vote of 121-23. That's a full blown cross-aisle impeachment. Can't blame that on just "the Dems"
It was the democrats leading the House that did it. They promised all the evidence would be revealed. It wasn't. They lied. As always.

No.

But in defense of such posts, they are warranted when the one candidate regularly twists the scripture to fit his own nefarious political ends, claims to be a Christian who hates Christianity, and states that whites are not "true" Christians. That candidate brought religion here.

All this talk about Paxton is window dressing to the real crux of the issue, which is VERY simple.

A vote for Talarico is a vote for the Democratic party, which has devolved into the party of Communism/Socialism and we all know where that leads. If you decide to sit out or vote 3rd party you're also voting for Communism indirectly.

In Democrat primaries across this country you have candidates openly stating Communistic values WINNING against "moderate" Democrats. It's a movement that should frighten everyone who understands history.

All excellent points!!

The only concern I have, and it's small because I think Paxton gets 53.5% plus, is Coryn voters just sitting out the general.

Absolutely not. Just a bunch of folks identifying as Christian worshipping the altar of political power.

I highly doubt Cornyn voters would do that. They know what is at stake by sitting this one out. The old GOP definitely does not want ****** BS, slandering The Bible, Christian values sh-t on, and trying to turn Texas into Cali.

Yep Talarico is like that. A bad failed teacher who is trying to get power by acting like a Christian.

the communist party candidate for US Senate from Texas is a Presbyterian minister who not only espouses and provides sound bites to every freak corner under the communist tent, but blasphemes Jesus consistently. The forums collide here.

Sure. I'd be happy to.

We are way past the point of Republican purity tests post primaries.

At this point you don't have to vote for anyone. You most likely vote against someone. You do so in the pursuit of what you believe is in the best interest of yourself, your family, your state, and your country.

Burning your vote on a third party with no chance of winning gains you nothing.

As Tesla Ag said, you can vote against communism or for it.

Third party means nothing at this point in our history.

Too old to fall for that crap any more. Glad not to be the same fearful person I was in my 20's.

IcedT14 - gay communist Talarico thanks you for your support and belief as does communist islamis Mandani. All comrades must stick together together to destroy America, Constitution, Bill of Rights and Western Civilization.

Talarico in his own words:

I'm a Christian who hates Christianity

White churches aren't real Christians

And yet he's a white man person who is supposedly studying at a Christian seminary to be a minister in a "white" Christian church. Do people not see that one can't have it both ways and not be lying about something here?

Telirico calls women "friends with a uterus". The one thing he loves most besides family: "trans kids". He says our southern border should be a giant welcome mat. He ran a vegan campaign to save the planet from the existential threat of climate crisis. He thinks we shouldn't have prisons.

Do not let a commercial of him carrying groceries to a pickup truck while spewing lies about his "accomplishments" in the state house fool you. He's an extremist and crazy phony.

I googled this to see what he said.

He did say it, apparently in the context of ending juvenile prisons.

The thing that worries me--and many of you will poo-poo this--is that Paxton put that point in a recent Facebook posting and the comments are massively pro-Talarico, mocking him for being in Iceland with his girlfriend and saying things like "Who wouldn't want to get rid of prisons."

I guess we all think that if we state our fears on Texags, they won't come true, but that's what I'm doing.

Eh, should be balanced out by Crockett voters sitting out the general and possibly by more.

Facebook…seriously? Sorry if that's poo-pooing but do yourself a favor and get off that crap.

ETA I guarantee I could go back and show similar posting in favor of Beto and Allblue if you want on that awful platform. How did that turn out?

If one were an intellectually honest christian calling out Texas churches for racism, specific congregations/locations would be the very first thing to cite/name, while running for office in Texas.

Otherwise, it's a cowardly charge, imho. But, he's a democrat.

No he believes we should follow the California model of treatment centers, group homes and county detention centers. It's failed miserably in CA but Talarico is smarter than everyone else. He can fix anything with enough of your money. Bad teacher becomes bad politician who wants to take and spend.

He's carrying his groceries in a paper bag.. sad when a fake paper bag is the most authentic thing in your commercial.
