Last night, hirok got hit in the calf and the yanks got blown out.
However, David Adams is very good. the guy has 2 home runs in his first week in the league. I'm impressed and wondered why the yankees never gave him a fair shot (just like i wondered with austin jackson, who, despite his strike out numbers, is an excellent lead off man for detroit)
And congrats to kevin gausman for getting called up by the orioles. I've been following him since he got out of high school and pitched at LSU. He's gonna be good if he can stay focused and let the game flow instead

Jackie Bradley Jr has been recalled, and Aggie Alex Wilson was sent down..I'm curious as to what their plan is now..maybe victorino is out even longer then originally believed...cliff lee was pretty good tonight...
Everything I've heard/read is that Victorino is on schedule to be healthy and ready to go when his DL stint ends. The team calling up JBJ and sending down Wilson is just to bring back the normal roster balance of pitchers and position players (sox had been carrying 13 pitchers which Farrel prefers not to do)
The need for an extra bat also increases with them playing the next two games with NL rules in philly.
Wilson is out pitching clayton mortensen, but wilson still has options remaining while mortensen would have to pass through waivers to be sent down (i expect them to DFA him at some point in the season and bring Wilson back)
