Hmm, glad I found this thread!

Driving to Houston tonday for the Orioles game! I decided to pay a little extra and I got front row seats right by the O's dugout. I'm so pumped.

What a game! Feel the sox came out tonight with a great gameplan...was pumped to see Jackie get his first big league bomb! Nava really is making me want to trade Gomes, although his bat off bench and veteran leadership is nice..also, is there anything jose Iglesias can't do?!

Damn, just found this thread. Token, I was there for my birthday and on the Jumbotron as well. Though in the background. They didn't want a Sox jersey front and center. I had a great time. I don't think the mfy fans around me had such a great time.

Sox split the double header yesterday, breaking a 9 game losing streak vs the Halos. (Yeah, that streak surprised me too).

Buchholz improves to 9 - 0!!! Best record in the AL.

Drew makes a great diving grab to force out the runner at second! Ends the inning with the bases loaded!

BTW - Hamilton is 8 for 70 this year with RISP! (he didn't hit the force out. He was out number 1.)

It'd be nice if they got just 75% of his current production the rest of the way. Being a part time player, it's reasonable to expect a dropoff. Victorino will be back in the lineup most days and Nava has been even better than carp so he won't sit much.

Good problem to have though with injury-prone guys like ellsbury and victorino. Carp will no doubt be asked to fill in at another point this season.

i like ciriaco's story (he raked against the nyy last year) but he wasn't hitting much in limited ABs this year and his fielding was horrendous (7 errors in what roughly amounted to 15 full games)

Iglesias has proven capable of hitting MLB pitching (i know he won't keep up this ridiculous pace and his BaBIP is something crazy like .502 when the league avg is .297) and is vastly superior with the glove.

as long as they are able to get him 2-3 starts per week (he should definitely be starting at short every time the sox see a lefty), I think it'll be more beneficial to him and the team to have him play the utility role as opposed to playing everyday in AAA
