On one test that was supposedly confidential and anonymous he tests positive for something (we still don't know what). He's never again tested positive or been implicated in anything and his game has not dropped off at all. If anything, he's even more clutch. Yeah, obviously A-Rod's moral equivalent. Keep grasping at those straws. Congrats on winning the series, though. Should keep Cashman warm while he watches the playoffs from home.

The mfy needed that game (and the series) a hell of a lot more than the Sox did. Token, if i were you, i'd be a whole lot more worried about your #1 starter (and I use #1 in the sense that if a playoff series started tomorrow and girardi had his full complement of starting pitchers healthy and rested, cc would be his starter for game 1, not that he is currently their best pitcher) getting shelled again by Boston than how "classless" and "trashy" dempster (who will likely be bumped from the starting rotation once Buchholz comes back) and the Red Sox are.

Dempster on his best day with the wind at his back only brings it up there at 90-91 MPH. It's not anywhere near as bad as when your boy Joba blatantly threw a 97-98 MPH fastball over Youk's head a few years back.

Go ahead and keep being an a-rod apologist and keep trying to justify his despicable actions by saying that Ortiz is just as dirty when everyone with half a clue knows the two situations are apples and oranges. Whatever you need to do to sleep at night.
