Yet there are Ranger fans praying that you'll sign Cole and viola, World Series Baby!

This year's Astros team was much more than Cole, and while we will miss him the Astros are still going to be in the postseason mix for at least the next couple of years. It just takes one or two players to step up during this time of year.

That's true. Even though we lost in both the 2010 and 2011 World Series, I still enjoyed the playoff runs and remember some games / moments fondly.

I think it's interesting that you guys faced the same teams in the same order as we did in 2010 (with the exception of the World Series). AL East teams are always tough in the playoffs. The rangers had nothing left in the tank when we got beat by the giants. I thought we were good when we got past the Yankees. Silly me....

I guess I'm a little different.
I'm about 2 miles from Globe Life Park so naturally, I watch the Rangers most of the time.
Seems logical to me that with Houston in the WS, I would then wish the Astros to win...I guess it's a Texas thing.
But during this series, I got so sick and tired of the "Joe Buck" disease and gushing over Soto every freaking minute of 7 games it made me wanna puke.

Speaking of which, in the pregame shots, I couldn't understand a word Big Papi was saying. I'm a little surprised he got paid millions to regurgitate on TV like that.

At any rate, back to the point of my post.

We are moving in to a brand new field for the 2020 season. I hope we can put together a decent product to roll out to the masses, and hope we are finally active in the off season. I'm still awed by how clutch Rendon was.
And I can't believe the home boy is from Houston.

I will say this though, he was there to help Houston out during the hurricane mess, and he has a strong faith, so there's that.

The Astros will be back to the playoffs next year .... and I dont know when the Rangers will get there.

However both teams do have something to look forward to next year. Astros with a great young team, and the Rangers with an awesome new stadium.

Astros got beat by a really good team. Nationals may have even been the better team since June 1. I won't gloat against them because they will be back. Even if Cole leaves, they have such a solid lineup that another front line starter will be more than willing to step into Cole's slot. I think the Grienke deal was a horrible move by the Astros, but we will see how it plays out.

Verlander seemed to be less consistent after pitching on 3 days rest vs. Tampa. I assume he bounces back in 2020.

Keep the chins up Astros fans . . . Bryce Harper still feels way worse than you do. I doubt he recovers from this.

most of that hate was just directed at one or two rangers fans.... mainly one who likes his sodas on the purple side. I actually didn't have a problem with the Rangers while the Astros were in the NL because it wasn't even really a rivalry. But ever since 2015 it's ramped up. I love the rivalry now.

My hope is for a Astros/Rangers ALCS in the next few years.

That series absolutely sucked as an Astros fan. Going 0-4 at home will never go away and will be a trivia question from here on out. Best home record in the regular season and we can't get a single home win in the World Series? Damn it hurts. Really bad. Only thing worse than this is to be a Ranger fan. Well, maybe Ebola and being a Rangers fan.

yep.. both had 2-1 leads. The Astros choked it away worse though... 4 run lead in the 8th inning. Whats crazy is that we had an 86-76 record that year to make the wild card. The last 2-3 years that wouldn't even put a team within 8 games of the WC. The AL has gotten a lot better
