Since astros swept the rangers Texas has had an easy schedule, playing two series against the Royals and Seattle mixed in with series against the Angels, Cardinals and an upcoming tilt against the Orioles. June is much tougher as they play Boston, the Rays and Indians and then in July they face the Astros twice and have a series against the Twins.

If they are still at .500 at the break they will be legit WC contenders but I suspect that will not be the case.

All with Springer, Correa, and Altuve nursing injuries...oh and our two studs, Tucker and Alvarez, still haven't needed to call them up. We're the only organization in the majors who could lose three MVP's and have two guys mashing in AAA, not need them, and actually INCREASE our lead in the standings.

It's said by a bunch of ignorant people who probably started following baseball in 2015 or people with dementia who can't remember how far back the Astros and rangers have played. As a matter of fact, the Astros and rangers have been playing since 2001. The rangers have an all time record of 111-78 against the Astros. Until that changes, Astro fans can't say much. The intelligent ones anyway.

I'm kidding...No one gives a flying F how you stacked up head to head against a team tanking for a good portion of that stretch.

Yeah don't forget the Astros were tanking. How quick Ranger fans are to point how bad the Astros were and chastise them for mailing it in and tanking, but they love to boast about their dominating head to head record.

Do those "tanking" years include 2015 and 2016 when the Rangers won the series 28 - 10? Didn't you guys manage to sneak into the playoffs at least one of those years? You might have made it both years if it weren't for that 4-15 mark against Texas in 2016.

I hate that this thread blows. Seriously, there's someone on here that uses the term daddy. There's also people on here using the tsip line of thinking that the overall h2h record actually matters. The bottom line is winning a championship is the only thing that matters, and the Astros have one and the Rangers don't. Until that changes, I don't really have any ground to stand on as a Rangers fan.

IMO, the only time trash talk should take place is when the two teams are playing each other. When they're not, I couldn't give a **** about the Astros

As of right now the Astros clearly have the best and deepest program in all of baseball.

Arlington did win a few games 15 years ago in inter league play, though, so at least they have that going for them.
