That is devastating! Everyone knows 93 year-old stoned Willie is the best judge of character as well as government and economic philosophy. If tax evading Willie now wants high tax communist redistribution of wealth, we must vote for the communist, right?

Willie is a stoned leftist who hasn't lived in the same world as most of us for 40+ years. Nobody cares.

Speaking of racist commie democrats, actual quote from your minister reverend Talaco:

"White skin gives me and every white American immunity from the virus. But we spread it wherever we gothrough our words, our actions, and our systems. We don't have to be showing symptomslike a white hood or a Confederate flagto be contagious."

Keep this guy away from the US Senate.

How can anyone ignore this.
Such self loathing.
People of color may Amen this, but secretly call him and his voters a dumbass, and say, gee, this guy is just opening the henhouse!

It's a telling that all of the Paxton supporters aren't really supporting Paxton. They just really dislike Talarico.

That's because there's very little to like to about Paxton. He's corrupt. He's immoral. He's slimy. He's dishonest.

He's totally unfit to be my mailman, much less my US Senator.

On the other hand, we have the "gay (and racist) Pete Buttiegieg", James Talarico.

I will either vote for Paxton (because leftism is suicidal) or I won't vote. I haven't decided which yet.

Paxton has plenty of supporters. You may have missed it, but there was an election (2 actually) where Texas republicans showed who they supported.

That was more of an indictment on Cornyn.

There was a third option in the primary. How did that turn out?

Paxton easily won his last AG race. I guess no one liked him then either, it was Guzman and Bush people were voting against.

Paxton has to the luckiest candidate in history on which opponents he draws. No one likes him, but keeps winning.

Polling and research don't support this. There are plenty of R's who don't care for Paxton personally but support what he does while in office. It's the opposite for Cornyn. Republicans, in large numbers, have stopped worrying about who a person is vs what they do when elected. That's why Paxton won.

And Talarico will lose by 5-7 points minimum. Plenty of moderate Democrats are just as repulsed by him as Republicans

That part I agree with.

Politics draw the mediocre and power hungry. Paxton is not impressive but neither is almost anybody else who runs for political office.

Any self respecting lawyer would much rather have a successful practice at a well regarded firm or be a well paid corporate lawyer than enter the slim pit of local politics and try to become Attorney General. The only people who would want that job would only want it as a springboard to higher political office.

It's because he's so entrenched in his incorrect belief "no one likes Paxton" he thinks there was accuracy to what I said.

In two elections there were easy candidates to go with for people tired on the "Bush establishment": Hunt & Guzman. Both lost by a lot.

That doesn't happen without real support for Paxton.

I worked on matters with Paxton years and years ago. I personally can't stand the man. But the reality is huge numbers of Texans support him.

Somebody has to do it. Paxton actually got things done as AG and I wished he stayed in that office. I hope Middleton is up for it because we have h1-B and Muslim issues throughout the state. Especially with Muslims purchasing large acreage tracks in rural Texas to build their own cities.

Actions are much larger than words. Don't promise conservatives one thing then actively stab us in the back. The days of "compassionate conservatism" are over. I can honestly say I don't care anymore how politicians fall short in their personal lives. This was a tool used to tear down Republican candidates and politicians while the left got a complete pass.

Don't support and quietly push actions that I know are bad for my family in the country. We know what each of these politicians stand for and the choice is really quite easy.

Texas Patriots Pac's recommendation for Paxton 4 years ago when he was running against George P Bush included a "Biden Lawsuit Tracker" showing all the times he was suing the feds for overreach.

https://www.texaspatriotspac.com/attorney-general

Quote:

Texas Patriots PAC is proud to ENDORSE Ken Paxton for Texas Attorney General. Paxton has done an exemplary job as our AG as he continues to fight the Biden Administration using his legal expertise to stop illegal mandates (especially related to Covid vaccines); to address the illegal invasion at the Mexico border; to protect election integrity; and to defend the rights of Texans in a variety of lawsuits.

For Conservatives, Ken Paxton's job performance as Attorney General has been outstanding. Over the last 8 years, Mr. Paxton has aggressively challenged every overreach by the Obama and Biden administrations as well as consistently defended our fundamental constitutional rights, including those of the unborn. He has demonstrated courage, as shown by his filing of Texas v Pennsylvania in 2020, challenging the administration of the 2020 presidential election in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin. And his winning record has been exceptional (See Biden Lawsuit Tracker Below):

The only reason Mr. Paxton has drawn challenges in this Primary is because of the potential personal legal problems he faces. The question facing 2022 Primary voters is whether those problems will likely negatively affect Mr. Paxton's ability to continue to provide the exemplary services he has been providing.

We believe Mr. Paxton's legal problems are politically motivated and he will prevail once he has his day in court. We recall similar Democratic dishonest politically motivated efforts that successfully drove Tom DeLay from office in 2006, only to turn out with Mr. DeLay's complete vindication.

In our view, voting against Ken Paxton because of these political legal tactics achieves the objective of the Democrats.

Don't fall for these fake charges. Reward Mr. Paxton's stellar performance by returning him to office.

The resident Rinos or flat out Democrats on this site, and elsewhere, don't really care about what you posted and could even be gnashing their teeth over it. I'd say they have a story to tell, but actually it's a story to sell to the gullible in particular. They'll have plenty of assistance from the Democrat Party and their lickspittle media outlets to try to convince everyone Paxton really didn't have that much support when he won those AG elections. That was a figment of everyone's imagination, right? Just like the runoff against Cornyn.

Also, the same nefarious groups of so-called Dems will also try to convince everyone that the Commies running for office aren't really Commies. They're the all new and improved Democrat Socialists!

For all the talk about just disliking Tiluraco, I thought I'd remind people that Paxton has actual accomplishments against the tyrannical socialist regime. The regime hates him because he's a fighter. The regime has the low iq useful idiots focused on his dating status before his divorce is finalized or an accusation from years ago they trumped up and amplified only for him to be acquitted and Biden's DOJ to find nothing.

The R establishment leadership hates Trump. Why? Because he proved to the party VOTERS that the old Bush "just take it" narrative doesn't have to be put up with. These guys liked going to the parties and all the stuff they had going.

Vocal leaders that attack are what we want. They killed the tea party and thought they could kill Trump and put things back to where they were. Paxton is one of these bulldog type that will go after the opposition. So the liberal leaders we have in the Texas house tried to get rid of him. They failed and now they are trying to help the Dems take him out. They gonna fail there also.
