I disagree. The Spurs definitely won this game if the score holds. We had a 10 point lead but we didn't execute and they did down the stretch.

Ugly game for the silver and back. No one outside of our big guys did anything. But happy they scrapped their way back from ten down.
Epic meltdown. I gave up on the mavs when they dismantled the championship team. We have a crappy GM.
Good win. Neither team played very well, but Dallas inability to keep San Antonio out of the lane was their down fall.

That's because Donnie Nelson is just a Mark Cuban puppet. He doesn't really make decisions, he just does whatever Cuban tells him. That's why Rosas got fired because he wanted to act like an actual GM. Cuban is a great owner and business man (not basketball mind), but the more and more involved he becomes in every aspect of the franchise the more and more he starts looking like Jerry Jones Part 2.

Couldn't disagree more. That's about as bad as the spurs can play and we still won. That was the mavs only chance to make it even somewhat interesting. This will be over in 4 or 5.

Ummm not that this has anything to do with the game today, but I couldn't disagree with this more. I'm also not surprised that it comes from someone who is not a Mavs fan. Pick one to discredit, either Cuban or Nelson, but they just put together a championship team 2 seasons ago.
The Spurs are obviously a model franchise but what Cuban and the Mavs front office have been doing the past decade plus is nothing to scoff at.
Mavs shooting was ice cold in Q1. Glad they made it competitive but this was our shot to make it a series. Spurs won't be this sloppy again. Oh well...
We just got lucky by trading tractor trailer for Dirk. If that never happened we would still be the laughing stock of the NBA and we probably will be again when Dirk is gone.
Cuban is the problem? What? Jerry Jones won 3 super bowls with players he inheirited (basically other than drafting emmitt Smith and troy aikman) and since then the team has been a loser. Jones has fired great coaches since he couldn't get along with them and held onto ****ty coaches that were his friends/puppets far too long.
Cuban bought a ****ty club and promptly made them a playoff team every year (except last year), played for 2 titles and won one. Cuban has made a great coaching move in hiring Carlisle and holding onto him after not making the playoffs. He realized he screwed that season up by personnel moves and not landing Deron Williams. Cuban is essentially the opposite of Jerry.

Well there was only one direction the Mavs could go when Cuban purchased them. The Mavs are where they are because of $$$, Dirk, and to some extent Carlisle. Not personnel decision-making genius.

Which is fine, considering they aren't fans of the team. The place this franchise was at before Cuban/Nelson took it over compared to where it's at now speaks for itself. It's just my opinion, but I'll give Cuban a little more leash than 1 truly poor basketball season, post-championship, before he's anointed the next JJ.
...even if that's what our "neighbors to the South" think.
