Personal opinion -- Book 3 is the best so looking forward to next season.
Remember the white ravens earlier this season, they denote a change in season (this last one was from summer to fall). We have to wait for another white raven to denote winter.
Now that was F'ing awesome!

It only gets better my friend. Despite the awesomeness of the 2nd season, as the producers have already said, this season was about power and where it resides. However we saw zero betrayals of alliances, unlike the first season. It will be fun to see where they go from here.

I'm sorry, but even mentioning game of thrones and the crap that is the walking dead is terrible. one show that actually has outstanding acting and writing as opposed to the other that the only redeeming quality is that it is a zombie show, yet is garbage acting and storytelling is blasphemy. I've seen every episode of walking dead and they aren't even in the same universe. the white walkers even look better than walking dead, which is ****ing based on zombies.
BTW, sick finale. cannot wait for season 3.
How dumb are the warlocks? Fire seems to be the one thing that kills them so let's just hang around a bunch of dragons? Solid thinking

Ya know, I'll be the first to say I thought this was gonna be a throw away episode that sets up next season, much like the end of the first season. I thought they peaked at Blackwater and they couldnt do much with 55mins that would surprise me (a book reader). I was way wrong.

They said their power grew the closer they were to the Dragons. Maybe they were over confident or just drunk with power.
Historically HBO goes all out in the 2nd to last episode of a season and the finale ends with a new revelation or cliffhanger. They followed true to form.
Brianne is one bad *****. The look on Jamie's face said it all.
Great speech by Theon only to have it ended in the most Theon way possible.
Joff is reaching epic levels for me. He is so hatable on every level. Such a POS and its awesome.
HBO did a great job casting this show. Cant wait to see what they do with next seasons newcomers.
All I can say is that Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire cant get here fast enough...

What exactly happened with Theon? Who was outside of Winterfell?? I thought it was Robb's men, but they burned it and the young Stark's are back on the run? Can anyone fill me in?
Theon is a really compelling character. I know he isn't supposed to be very likable, but the actor who plays hims is fantastic, and you can honestly sympathize with him. He's such a tragic character, very Shakespearean.

I was kind of confused about this as well. I thought Robbs men were outside of the walls.
Think a couple episodes back, Roose Bolton had his ******* going to take it back. Aside from that, I'm not sure what ended up happening other than the Ironborn saying "let's go home". I loved the instant terror when the third horn went off at the end.
They were robbs men indirectly. His bannerman Roose Bolton sent his ******* son to go take winterfell back..from there, what happened is what you saw. It's supposed to be up in the air as to why
