Seriously. It is so incredibly ignorant.

My own example - I'm a VP at a Fortune 50 with one kid in grad school and one at A&M, all 100% on my dime. My life can be a nice fat stressball at times. I don't drink because even 1-2 wrecks my sleep. But when things get thick, the occasional delta 8 or 9 a little while before bedtime to decompress and then help sleep was very helpful. I track my sleep and it was absolutely benefitting my health. Maybe once a week at times. Maybe once a month other. But thanks to diddle dan, not going to be an option. Freedom?
I'm sorry, you must be high right now, that was all a bunch of pothead gobbledygook.

Look into the CUP program. It's ~$80 through leafly to get certified and very easy to get approved.

It'll cost you 5-10x as much, but you'll still have legal access.

Appreciate that, but I shouldn't have to be diagnosed in some way to make an adult decision for what is basically a harmless little relaxation boost every once in a while. As a Gen Xer that was a latch key kid by the end of 1st grade, I am simply very much in the "just leave me the **** alone, I'm not jumping thru anyone's hoops" camp. I'll just go without, but it's all incredibly stupid.

Was at a dinner earlier and a friends dad (60s brought this up). Proudly told us he's never ever had a whiff of marijuana or ever tried the stuff.

Homie had 4 miller lites with dinner, threw in a pinch of Copenhagen after, then drove up to Oklahoma to spend the weekend at Choctaw.

But thank goodness he's never polluted his temple with weed. Lol. Wonder if my friends dad posts on here? He's an Aggie.

The horror.

Thanks for missing the point entirely. Nobody has an issue with his miller lite.
Then why mention it???

If you want weed smoke it. I don't care. Don't stink up my streets with your weed, thank you.

I was demonstrating he's a hypocrite. He took a sanctimonious holier than thou attitude about being "drug free" then proceeded to enjoy two legal vices then drive to Oklahoma to experience another.

Not sure what gotcha you have lined up for this, but generally yes - especially smoking it. However, unlike booze, tobacco, and gambling, there are legit medicinal and positive uses for marijuana. So in that sense it's not a vice.

Just like nicotine has some positive effects, it's the tobacco and tar that's the issue. I think with weed, smoking it is dangerous just like inhaling anything into your lungs is dangerous.

I see almost zero downside to consuming marijuana in edible form. The worst side effect is the munchies and without self control you could overeat big time, very similar to the 2 am drunken food run type of deal.

I noticed I actually renewed mine this year with Leafwell, not leafly. Tell them you have ptsd.

I went with one of the clinics partnered with the licensed Texas dispensaries to get my initial prescription. It was 3x the cost of Leafwell and the doctor asked more questions. Leafwell felt like a rubber stamp.

A black market will still exist because the drugs will be taxed and regulated, which drives up the cost significantly. Look at states that legalized marijuana, like CO. Huge black market.

A black market will always exist.

The point is that when it is regulated, it is much safer and society benefits as a whole by taxing it and putting it towards the public good.

Seriously, I'd be ****ing terrified if I had college aged kids these days. Back when I was in school, you didn't have to worry about OD'ing on fentanyl when you wanted to take a little bump like most adults do when they are young and experimenting.

I'm not sure how conclusive the studies are with this, especially gynomastia and decreased testosterone, but there are studies that indicate alcohol causes that too.

So ban alcohol as well then, right? Some people can POSSIBLY have negative side effects…so we might as well play it safe and take it completely away from the public for everyone's safety.
