Danni has a case of the butthurt. Public temper tantrum announced for tomorrow.

"Throughout the legislative session, @GregAbbott_TX remained totally silent on Senate Bill 3, the bill that would have banned dangerous THC products in Texas. His late-night veto, on an issue supported by 105 of 108 Republicans in the legislature, strongly backed by law enforcement, many in the medical and education communities, and the families who have seen their loved ones' lives destroyed by these very dangerous drugs, leaves them feeling abandoned. I feel especially bad for those who testified and poured their hearts out on their tragic losses. I will have much more to say at a press conference tomorrow in Austin."

It's sad that we had to rely on the governor to represent the will of the people instead of Congress.

I'm in a state of shock and still owe you a case of Moon Walk. Coming your way this week, Ben.

Wow! Back to business.

And **** you, Dan Patrick. Biggest L that guy has ever taken. I can forgive Greg now for his awful handling of social distancing.

Hopefully on the right side of history. Dan Patrick committed political suicide with his ignorant, bought and paid for venture here and needs to be sent to the dustbin of history.

It's fun to see him get so wrecked from all sides of the political aisle on this one.

The guy is such a stupid son of a ***** next he'll come out in favor of Ticketmaster fees.

Never realized so many people were dependent on this stuff. I suppose some have a medical need which is understandable, but others just to cope with life.

Never realized so many people were so casual about surrendering freedom to make adult choices. Some are managing physical pain and it's a tool to avoid opiates. For the rest, it serves the same purpose that a morning coffee or occasional wind down glass of wine - except for the fact that caffeine and alcohol are both actually addictive. Nobody is getting headaches or the dt's from not getting their delta 8/9.

What we have now is really the best of both worlds. We don't have the nasty public smoking that degrades downtown Denver and Seattle. But those truly in need can avail themselves.

If they want more laws to restrict access for children, well ok - let's see what's proposed.

But in general - good Abbott.

If he was worried about safety, then he'd realize the worst possible option is to have it be illegal. It will still be available - just on the black market and via less reputable businesses. He's not worried about safety. He's worried about his pharmaceutical lobby money

Is it just me, or does DP remind anyone else of the old SNL character The Church Lady?

I'm a Believer, so this isn't about beliefs but just how the guy comes across. I admit i used to listen to him on the radio 20 years ago, but he's changed since entering politics and is an embarassment.

I do it to help me sleep. I have never once taken it and then went out. The same thing that allows me to have a successful life also causes hell when trying to sleep. This helps and I wake up 100% rested no hangover. Also almost no calories which is a big plus

Proud of Abbott, though he didn't have to wait until literally the last minutes to do this. I"ll vote against Patrick no matter what. Someone like that is trash and needs to be shown the door. I don't need someone in government to be my ****ing parent.

Abbott vetoed the bill and the supporters of THC got what they wanted. The system worked. Why the continued non stop negativity and name calling by posters? You won. Can you not be satisfied with the win? I swear some of yall would bitz if you were given a million bucks just because it was all in $1 bills....

So SB3 was passed to protect kids? For those on here that supported it, are there any stats showing how kids were hurt? Rates of consumption growth of the years, as compared to alcohol and other alternatives? Has the expansion of thc products caused less alcohol use and less alcohol related incidents? I don't know these things and generally want to understand the position.

There's still an upcoming special session to discuss regulation of THC products coming up now. People will have to remain just as vigilant or Dan will bully that process as well.

A little more regulation makes sense. Tax it some, require lic to sell just like liquor. Put some limits maybe on dosage per edible maybe.

I hate saying that as a libertarian leaning republican, but making it a free for all has shown how crazy it can get.

Also, hopefully we can just legalize D9 and regulate it as well.

Nope. Literally no one has died from hemp thc consumption in Texas.

However 11,000 Texans are killed from alcohol every year.
