Only those with zero traces of THC. You'll likely still be able to get CBD oils and tinctures, but I'd say goodbye to the flower.

Don't forget the cartels and local black markets will be funneled money.

A regulated market would be so much safer, not just for consumers but all Texans.

Why do we have to repeat the mistakes made during prohibition more than a hundred years ago? This is so monumentaly stupid and reckless!
Whoa what? You're for MORE govt regulation?
Only as opposed to an outright ban. A regulated market that only allows these products to be sold to 18+ or 21+ adults (liquor stores or smoke shops that check IDs) with testing standards would satisfy both sides of the argument. That would keep consumers safer, prevent underage access, keep the money out of cartel/drug dealer hands, prevent black market violence, keep standard sales tax revenue flowing in. All while allowing legal/safer access to responsible adults, many of whom use these products for medication.

I don't support excessive taxation or licensing fees/restrictions, but again even that is better than an idiotic complete ban. A complete ban will feed the black market, make access easier for underage kids (that will just buy from a thriving black market that doesn't care about their age), close down thousands of businesses, eliminate jobs, and substantially decrease tax revenue.

An outright ban is as idiotic as alcohol prohibition was in the early 20th century.

Same reason that idiots think we can magically make socialism work, even though it has worked in exactly 0% of the times it has been implemented.

THIS time though, we will get it right!

Someone tried to make an amendment allowing for the legal amount of THC in CBD, up to .3% but the jerks voted against it

Another dirty hippie. She has cancer so who cares, let her suffer right?

Or wait, is it more important that the cancer patient be on medications that cost tens of thousands of dollars?

Where are the reefer madness people? You've got an Air Force colonel, elderly man with arthritis, and an older women with cancer. I want these people to come back in this thread and declare to me these people are druggie weaklings who rely on "the devils lettuce".

Come plant that flag in the dirt so you will be clearly marked as a clown when the negative impacts of this bill cause thousands of Texans to suffer, many of which look like the people in these videos - NOT Cheech and Chong.

I'm guessing he's trying to pressure Abbott to sign, but he looked like a petulant child.

Here's a response from the owner of Hometown Hero, whose product he was holding up saying that it could kill a grown adult, and that "we don't know what's in this", when every ingredient and a lab test is on the package.

HH products are great - they ran a sale on those the next day following the tantrum

The right wing isn't any better than the left. They are preying on the willfully ignorant conservatives in the state, which, apparently are far more than I expected. I thought everyone by now was slightly educated on the topic, but this thread and the fact that the state is where it is clearly proves that's not true.

It blows my mind that Patrick can stand up there with a straight face and hold up products and lie to people, and that these people are dumb enough to take it. It's top grade democratic party stuff and it works like a champ. I have ordered from multiple vendors including HH and everything is quite clearly marked. It's no harder to decipher than the processed cheese package these idiots are ingesting most likely daily.

Then more GenX needs to run for office.

This is generally good advice everywhere. Office dynamics often improved after layoffs where boomers were....uh.....'offered early retirement'. The same needs to happen with politics. More young voters need to stop voting for their party and start voting for people that do what's right. I was that guy. If you were Republican, you got my vote. Not any more. I vote for those that look like they are going to do the best job. If that's libertarian or democrat....so be it. I don't care if it's a 'wasted' vote. I don't care if it's a 'vote for the other guy'. If you don't like it, then get out there and offset it.

If it doesn't have THC it should remain. But most CBD products have some THC in it, even if it's so minuscule it could never get you high. Kinda like how there's alcohol in kombucha.

So I think your CBD products will be fine, but it's going to be a legal nightmare distinguishing between the two and I do fear the baby's gonna get thrown out with the bath water

May be a bannable thing to say, but I am so ready for the Boomers to just die off and leave us the **** alone. I'm so tired of this *****

Never voted for a Democrat in my life, but I will vote for anyone other than Dan Patrick in the future, no matter what letter is next to the person's name. I would prefer it be an "L" or "I", as opposed to a "D", but I'm fed up with that authoritarian *****. If Wheels doesn't veto, I will also vote for anyone but him. I'll even vote for that Beta ***** over Wheels.

Same here. You don't think boomers got soaked for it also? I paid into them for 40 plus years as did my employers so what part of that money we paid in should not go toward my benefit? I don't know how old you are but would your parents or grandparents that are/were boomers be proud of you for your second statement? If you have kids in public schools who is paying for their education? I'm 75 years old and still getting soaked for it and will be if I live to a hundred.
