Confirmed there was a shooting but not many details besides it involved an ICE agent. And of course Governor Frey has already said its ICEs fault since all they have been doing is causing chaos but no details on what happened.

The protesters hate ICE and would like a reason to justify or bolster their claims that ICE and this administration are fascists, thugs, etc. If ICE shot someone that they could claim was not an "imminent physical threat" to the shooting officer, it would bolster the protestors cause. However, in this instance, it's a good thing that the woman shot was clearly an imminent physical threat to the shooting officer, robbing the protesting hoards of their ability to use this incident to bolster their position.
