Yes Tesla, that's been my whole point.

But courts only consider it a deadly weapon when used in conjunction with assault. Simply standing in front of it before then it isn't.

I guess if someone points a gun at you and shoots you it's your fault for being in front of the gun, per Fido

Tesla, I'm arguing that the situational awareness of the officer was poor at best. Especially for someone already involved in a vehicular incident.

At the end of the day do you believe that the shooting was justified or not?

And he hade the opportunity to move but continued with his filming. Keep going, guy lost awareness and almost lost his life.

Yes, but it was due to poor awareness and was avoidable. I'm not defending the lady, she created the conditions, but as a trained officer, his decisions were lacking.

Sorry I really haven't kept up 100% with all the posts on this thread.

I assume these two new videos from today were already posted, but posting anyway.

This is a very good point. It wasn't just for his own safety, but all because his partner was engaged and could have easily been tangled up in the door.

This video shows the 3m 30s prior to her final choice. Clearly obstructing traffic, disregarding orders from LEO, and antagonizing and dancing on the horn the entire time.

It's a tragedy she's dead. It was also 100% of her own doing.

No, you try to avoid the space where somebody can point a gun at you and limit your decision making capacity.

So.... the lady driving should have done this, no?

Cops have no choice but to get in the way of danger, it's their job.

It is definitely their job, but purposefully putting themselves in a more dangerous position than required, such as standing in front of a car that is running with a nut job behind the wheel is NOT part of their job.

thats not what happened

he approached from the side after circling the vehicle

she reversed and turned putting him in front of the car before driving forwards, that was in less than a few seconds

She should've but didn't. Cost her a life. And now he has to live with that. I'm not excusing the lady, she made a choice to be there. He was there doing his job and all he had to do was avoid the kill zone.
FIDO_Ags

No doubt, but that doesn't mean you put yourself in a deadly place to do so. What was he going to do to a car if it moved? He was armed and had plenty of flanking space.

I wonder if he (tampon timmy) is going to flee to somalia.....as long as he stays I say we should let him, especially if he takes others with him.

the cop wasn't in front of the vehicle until she "strafes" him swerving the vehicle around

he was next to the wife on the passenger side

she threw it in reverse and turned the wheel, placing the officer in front of her

He walked around the front to help the guys moving toward the driver's side to get her out of the car. You can see her looking right at him through the windshield in his camera footage while she is stomping on the gas to accelerate forward. This idea that she didn't know he was there or that she didn't hit him is just pure liberal fantasy. She looked right at his camera through the windshield. Anybody not seeing that is not looking at the video with their eyes open.

The look on her face as the officer walked around her vehicle was one of euphoria

She was reveling in wasting their time and man power, she was power tripping

You're 100% right lol and it's hilarious folks keep trying to argue it is. She literally just has to comply and not drive in the direction of the officers. She chose to do that and the officer doing his job was completely justified in defending himself and the other officer from possible harm.

He was being harassed all day by people, like "the wife" trying to goad him into losing his temper. Horns blaring, other drivers try to navigate around the pilot putting everyone in danger. And he had been drug by a car last summer. If his decision making wasn't at its very best, do you really think you have the right to judge him?

Curious cut of the 3.5 min video, right when she would have started accelerating forward. I hope LEO has got the full video.

It's things like this that might show up in a court room and will be a narrative killer, similar to the body cam event at the Cup Foods a few blocks away.

It's the face of someone that knows they aren't actually up against "literal Nazis."

American protesters are some of the most spoiled humans on the planet. They know that nine times out of ten, the worst thing that will happen to them is some pepper spray, maybe some bruises, an afternoon in jail or quick detainment, and then being allowed to go home to their safe, peaceful neighborhood (and maybe a paycheck depending).

I don't care if you want to protest. Go stand on University Drive in the cold, hold up a dumb sign and then go spend a couple hundred bucks in Sephora. But don't try and convince me that you're under a fascist dictatorship.

They weren't afraid at all. They were emboldened because they're Americans and they didn't have to be.
