Honking and blowing whistles is absolutely NOT illegal even if "alerts the target". It is protected free speech. A good example is that the texas statute on interference clearly states it has to be more than speech to be interference.

Texas law (Transportation Code 547.501) makes it illegal to continuously or unnecessarily honk your horn; it should only be used as an audible warning for safety, to ensure safe operation, not for frustration, intimidation, or celebration, and must not be unreasonably loud or harsh. Excessive or malicious honking, especially when not for imminent danger, can lead to tickets for violating noise ordinances or for harassment.

When you tap-dance the day away on the cliff's edge you don't get to cry when the rocks ultimately give way.

This woman spent the entire day (from what I've heard, obviously no personal first hand knowledge) on the very legal edge of interfering with these officers/agents official and legal duties. We all know they were absolutely sick of her nonsense and had probably already and repeatedly shown more grace/mercy than she was deserved. So once they were well and fully sick of her nonsense she wasn't going to get any grace or reprieve, and with ample evidence from throughout the day (her own cell phone probably holds the evidence of her guilt here).

ANTIFA has been doing these operations since at least April, and for the past couple weeks in MN alone.

As a nation of laws, those who choose to interrupt, inhibit and interfere in the prosecution and and enforcement of those laws via intentional use of a deadly weapon should be considered innocent of all potential crimes and consequences of their outcomes...because laws.

Thanks. I don't do X so can't tell who is legit or not. But I do know she did not have custody of her two oldest children, ex-husband does. How that happened is unclear to me.

I'm not here to convince anyone. You and those who have a very different perception would likely never get picked to be on a jury.

As a nation of laws, we should all demand a full assessment of the fact and ability for those harmed to see their day in court.

Sweeping immunity is a danger to us all. I hope you see that. If this was the Obama Administration and the driver was a White Supremist member, you'd expect a prudent investigation and court of law to weigh in.

So, you are saying that when Obama would have been President , members of this board would have agreed with a White supremist ramming into a peace officer?

As a nation of laws, one might expect that the enforcement and execution of the federal immigration laws would be supported.

If not, one might expect the best protest is through voting leaders out or attending a peaceful rally.

Disagreement with laws alone does not justify actively interfering with the enforcement of them. Ask (former] judge Dugan how that goes

Offering a poorly supported claim about what might have happened in the past or future, if (the hypothetical part) circumstances or conditions were different. The fallacy also entails treating future hypothetical situations as if they are fact.

So you are ignoring the clearly audible order to stop the car and get out of the car that comes after that? Talk about seeing:hearing only what you want to see/hear…

Also, he said get out of the car (4 times), not get out of here, and the poster you are quoting knows this. Either way it does not matter

WTF does who the President is have to do with this case?

I don't care if it's Obama, Bush, Clinton, JFK...whomever...

You drive with your foot on the gas toward an LEO who is within inches of your bumper, whether you meant to or not (forget the fact that she actually hit him), and you are at extremely high risk of taking gun fire (and dying from it) from that (or other) LEO...

I don't care if you're Mother Theresa or Ted Bundy...you cannot do what she did...period...

I would fully expect anyone acting the way she did to be properly punished no matter their race or political leanings. Ideally that door would've been unlocked and she would've been pulled out and arrested, convicted, and punished for her actions instead of dying.

If a white farm boy drove his car toward a cop while trying to obstruct a BLM protest, and the farm boy ate lead...none of us would argue he didn't get exactly what he deserved...this isn't a political question...it's a question about the rule of law...

Intentionally interfering with law enforcement who are engaged in their duties is a crime.

Honking and creating a distraction could be seen as interfering too

At the very least it is harassment under Minnesota Statute 609.749

The video now released from the cell phone being used by the officer makes this even easier.

He's clearly gathering evidence by walking 360 around the car recording the face of the driver as well as her admissions for what they are doing, the face of admissions of her partner, and the license plate of the vehicle.

He only moves from the passenger side around the front of the vehicle -- where he had already been once -- when he sees another ICE office approaching the driver's door.

So this is his second time walking around the front -- and he maintains an amount of space between him and the vehicle -- with nothing having happened the first time, and the driver looking directly at him and engaging with him verbally.

She did not panic. She was PURPOSELY trying to evade contact with the second ICE officer approaching her door.

She was attempting to escape what she was anticipating to be an effort to arrest her.
