Not only that but they have a chance to make a real move with a pretty favorable schedule. After Denver, 2 games against Memphis, then Minnesota, at the Rockets and 2 at home against the Warriors. All teams that they can beat and they will probably have a little more motivation against GS since they blew them out in San Francisco. Then they go on an Eastern conference road trip. That will be interesting because I would like to see the young guys to get more confidence on the road.Enzo The Baker said:

Assuming the Spurs stay in the top 8 over the next couple of weeks, DeMar deserves an all star appearance.
Good to come back and see the Spurs picked up a W against another good team. Our February schedule sets up very nicely for us and as long as we continue to play well, should plant ourselves firmly in the playoff talks heading into mid season.
4th - 12th are separated by 2.5 games. 13 and 14 are only a half game behind that. The West is going to be crazy. I would love to see them use this favorable schedule to get a little separation.Sports-Ag said:jteagle said:

Yeah and they are way better defensively without those two. Memphis has beaten a lot of good teams this year and Murant is a legit star. If the Spurs split this series I'll be pleased.

Looks like White didn't miss a beat. I don't know why Lyles played. He sucks. All of his mins should have just been given to Vassell. And why no KJ in the 4th?
Also Spurs fell from 4th to 9th with a loss. No margin for error in the west this season.
Spurs have had the 3rd toughest schedule to date, which is really encouraging. As mentioned, this next 5 weeks will be very important with most opponents being bottom feeders/play-in contenders. Now that we are at full-strength, I think we need to win at least 2/3 of these next games to to have a realistic chance at the playoffs.
Guess we are going to let a depleted Memphis team run us out of our own gym two games straight. Nice.
