A predictable loss last night. Was good to see Vassell starting in Walker's place. Hopefully that sticks with either him or white to help our defense (again much more competitive in the first quarter). If Walker doesn't score he is going to start to play himself off of the court entirely.

The Warriors are 8th in the Western conference standings with a 14-12 record. They would be 4th in the East 1/2 a game behind the Nets. Spurs are 4 games over .500 in 6th place in the West. Would be 1 game out of 2nd in the East.

It appears to me that the teams in the west keep getting better and even the lower teams improve but I don't see that in the East. I think there must be some really poorly run organizations in the East.

Got outscored 33-17 in the first quarter, then followed it up by out scoring Charlotte 47-26 in the second to take a 5 point half time lead. Polar opposites, but hey whatever works.

I guess that is the textbook scenario of coming out cold and then finding your rhythm. They played much better defense in the second quarter.

They have a back to back Tues and Wed against two of the worst teams in the East and then the Knicks. Hope they can keep taking care of business. I also hope Pop sees that the team is playing just fine without LA.

John Collins and Lauri Markkanen are both free agents and provide the kind of spacing on offense that would fit in perfectly with our young core. Neither seem to be much defensively.

I don't think Aldridge will be traded but I have a feeling we will buy him out. It's kind of strange how there is no time table for his return and how he won't rejoin the team in the road trip because of 'Covid'. The Spurs are clearly a better team without him defensively and ball movement wise. If the team is cooking by the time he is 'ready' to come back, I don't see how you can justify forcing him back into the lineup.

Kinda reminds me of what they did with Pau a couple of years ago. He was injured and never really came back and then he was gone.

OKC will be postponed if it is like what happened to the Wizards and Grizzlies, and then clearance for a nationally televised TV game against NOP, although only NBA-TV.


So do these guys basically just stay restricted to a hotel room for a while?
