It was also nice to see what Gorgui could bring to the team. It was the first time since he was acquired that he played without an injury.
I never liked having Aldridge and DeRozan on the same team.
Bring in a couple defensive vets as coaches on the floor and commit to playing everyone between 20 and 30 minutes next year. They need a guy who can get buckets against playoff defense, but that's already true. Time to see if any of the young guys can be The Man. There's plenty of length and effort on the defensive end as long as DeRozan and Aldridge aren't on the floor.

Spurs getting the 8th seed would be huge for playoff hopes. Would probably prefer the 8th seed over the 7th seed for the play-in given the fact they play better on the road (Not that we would have a chance for the 7th seed.) Realistically I think we will stay where we are at 10th by the end of the season which actually may not be bad. We have a fighters chance of beating GS and Memphis on the road.

Good win! The bench didn't play particularly well and it didn't help that Rudy was out. He could have helped out on Zion when Keldon got in foul trouble.

Realistically, that closes the coffin on the Pelicans playoff chances. No one should put the nail the coffin shut yet because Silver is making some calls to see if they can get 11 teams in the WC play in situation, but a 4 game lead over the Pelicans with 12 games remaining, is pretty safe with the way the Pelicans can't get out of their own way.

They caught the Wizards on a hot streak. Beal was tough to stop but he came up short when it counted. He got a tech in the OT period in a 2 point game. Just stupid.

But DeRozan is the worst closer of all time. He's a machine for generating turnovers and terrible shots in the last five minutes of a close game.
