The Spurs know how to TAKE the lead, they just don't know how to HOLD the lead. And that's really the most important part of the lead: the holding pic.twitter.com/3JABgJ7DFt

One thing from the Mavs perspective that I am grateful for and wasn't at the start of the playoffs; having Coop, Gafford, and Lively (and perhaps Cissa more next year) all being 6'9" to 7'1". Watching the Spurs in particular and their lack of impact height outside of Wemby just kills them at times. And if anything so Wemby can get a longer break than legitimately one minute increments at time. Also because Wemby is a guard in an aliens body at times. They have no one to play with Wemby who's a real big. No one to help run actions with Wemby off the ball an so on.
Watching these playoffs has increased my desire to potentially hold onto Kyrie and Gafford in particular.

Gafford is just paid to much is my only gripe. If you were paying him 10-12, then I think it's good value for a backup C, but 18+ is a lot.

I know alot of you seem to admire the Spurs but I'm so happy right now. I can't even imagine how Knicks fans feel but as a Mavs fan this is so satisfying. Wemby's performative bull**** (the monk school, the walking barefoot at MSG to 'ground himself', the sketching in the park, the 'im in your head' only to absolutely CHOKE game sealing free throws...). Blowing the largest lead in NBA Finals history. This is porn to my hater heart.

I was also cheering for the Knicks considering how long they have gone without a championship, plus the Spurs look poised to win multiple championships in the next few seasons anyways.
I will say this though, some of the Knicks fan behavior has way crossed the line. There are videos of them throwing objects at Wemby, physically assaulting people wearing Spurs jerseys on the streets (they did that to Philly fans too). Just psycho behavior, would be some karma to blow a 3-1 lead after that.

until Lively plays 1 full season, Gafford is the starter

The belief around the league is that the Mavericks hiring one of the “rising assistants” in the NBA as their next head coach is the most likely outcome, rather than bringing in someone like Jon Scheyer or Dusty May, per Tim Bontemps & Brian Windhorsthttps://t.co/Fv9JjDnYWK pic.twitter.com/deOsz2BTRF

And Wemby has been elbowed twice in the face in this game with no call on either one.

Officials have been horrendous all series. San Antonio has gotten away with murder. Go back to your echo chamber.

Definitely should have been a flagrant on Wendy but the league doesn't want their star to get disqualified for game 6.
