Zuby is a good pickup for ATL.

Surprised NYK is trading this to LAL. Figured they'd be going for similar players as LAL needs a center for Luka and NYK needs to replace Robinson.

Pretty ideal draft for us. Would have preferred Zuby to Reed, but Reed is a monster and bigger

I love this pick for Dallas. I had Sergio de Larrea in my top 15 and think teams slept on him while he was hugely productive in Spain the past two years. The Mavs gave up two seconds to move up from 30 and make sure they got him, which I see as a justifiable investment given the talent cliff that hit basically right after this pick.
He's a Bogdan Bogdanovic-type guard with good size who can shoot and pass, and should help Cooper Flagg, whether he's on the ball or off.

Here is Luka's final season in Liga ACB compared with Sergio's season this year. Regular season Liga ACB play only per 36 minutes.

Luka was better finishing in close, but Sergio a much better shooter than Luka was at that point. Pretty wild how close most of these numbers are.

Not a fan of stashing him. Give him minutes as a SG and learn from Kyrie to limit his weaknesses, mainly ball handling. His vision and passing are impressive and should lead to a lot of opportunities for our bigs. He's going to be a work in progress at the NBA level but I would prefer he start that process now.

I like what the Mavs did considering the position they were in. I did/do like Burries and think he's a better fit on this team next year and perhaps the following year, but with the way the NBA is heading I completely understand why they drafted who they drafted.

Now we wait to see what it going to happen to PJ, Gafford, Klay and your trade exceptions/FA. Funny enough with the roster as currently constructed I think you'd want to keep Klay but we all know he deserves to go to a real title contender. But this team is far, far from complete. They need at minimum another two good enough ball handlers and two shooters.

ETA: Guys we know are going to be on this team next year now imo - Flagg (F), Kyrie (G), Lively II (C), Johnson Jr. (F/C), Christie (G), Naji (G/F). I could make a case Poulakidas should be on the team, but with as much trading as I suspect we're about to go who knows.
