Israel has mobilized its air defense forces. Iron Dome systems as well as longer range systems have been seen deploying over the last 24h.

Israel has already made statements they would not be involved in any sort of offensive operation, but if attacked they would ensure the regime did not survive.

There are American troops in Syria and Iraq. Both of those countries are in range of Iranian missiles. That is why some of them have been evacuated in the past two days.

Is there the possibility of American casualties, yes. Likelihood based on the above is small.

If we do strike and eliminate the murderous regime may all our troops come home same.

ETA: The regime in Iran has for a long time supported and wants the destruction of western civilization which is based on Judeo-Christian beliefs. They are responsible for tens of thousands of Americans lives already. So your rhetoric about no good reason falls completely flat.

Lot's of movements. The mullah's posting that taunt about the bullet in Butler, not missing next time was…an unforced error, imho.

I saw the post above bout $1.5 billion being moved to a Dubai account from Iran. That's also not something that is in any way…normal, and sounds 'last secondish' given the imminent collapse of their primary Tehran bank they pay the IRGC etc. from.

No, their main concern is that a stable/prosperous Iran is actually a much different, bigger threat to them than the disaster that the Ayatollah's have been, which has also given them huge leverage over the US to protect/shield/subsidize them etc.

A stable, partner-Iran is what kept the region under control largely before Jimmy Carter struck.

Testing a theory here.

Last two ops missions to Iran and Venezuela were totally covert & no one saw coming. This is vastly different and fully expected.

Chatter on X is getting to be mass confusion from ships, planes, subs appearing in theater; Trump throwing misdirects; foreign diplomats proclaiming no idea what to expect. Feels very "Thomas Crown Affair" for anyone familiar with that flick.

Guess we'll see.
