My wife asked me this morning if I was following the story. I said not anymore. That lady is dead and has been for a while sadly. The news is just trying to wait for the next big story to come along until then they're gonna fix it on it.

But yes, the Olympics are on and they're great!

I hope so, because Trump publicly laid out a red line for the Iranian people, and encouraged them to continue their uprising. He told them if their government killed any of them, we would come in and back them up.

Recent reports indicate 40,000-50,000 Iranian citizens have been killed in the last few weeks.

I don't think negotiations were what the people there had in mind when he said we would back them up if any of them were killed.

Just my opinion, but I think the dye was cast weeks ago. He really doesn't have a choice. If he makes some type of "deal" with their current regime, he loses all hope of a good relationship with any new regime that may find itself in power over there, and any current semblance of respect.

Agree. There is a second carrier steaming towards Iran, I doubt Trump is sending it for no reason.

The mullahs inevitably break any and every deal they make. I hope that's what this is. Keep the military assets you need nearby until you can prove they aren't honoring the deal they made , continue to hone the plan , and as soon as it's clear they are not holding up their end of the bargain take them out.
