We dropped 12. Production started in 2011. We had at least 20 in 2015. Can't find a current inventory #. Says production was supposed to triple in 2024.

Sounds like we may have some inventory.

The anti-Carter/Obama presidency, which gave us and later prolonged the terrorist mullahs with our cash/resources:

Carter was a worse, more hateful president on the world stage than even Joe Biden(*), something many Americans still deny or don't recognize I believe. Mugabe and Khomenei would have never stood a chance but for he and his team of abject traitors.

And when treachery is involved, of course look to France, which I suspect is the state the mullahs are wiring funds to at this point (the IRGC's Sepah Bank has an office/branch in Paris, because of course they do).

There are US citizens of Iranian descent who do the risk analysis and decide it's safe to see Madar and Pedar in Karaj for a few weeks. We have some friends who had to make some impromptu travel arrangements last year to exfiltrate themselves to Turkey. Do not recommend.

Can you imagine being a neighbor of a high ranking IRGC official right now? I would pack up the family and take them on an extended vacation in the countryside.

Understand. I think the risk analysis may have been a little off the mark right now tho if they thought it was worth the risk at this time . I acknowledge there could be exacerbating factors like a sick or dying relative or friend or something like that .

I was probably generous in assuming they actually analyzed the risk. Sometimes people don't think things through. Also, not all Iranians living abroad are as anti-Islamist regime as the folks in my close circle. We all know folks who narrowly focus on their inner circle and ignore societal problems. Head in the sand approach.

Iran's leadership/dictatorship imho has plans to go to Paris, or elsewhere at least for the summer. I could see Qatar and others also providing refuge for them if they decide to vacate without trying to blow up expensive Arab neighbor properties/oil infrastructure cash flow stuff.

Once they got the funds to that bank branch, they can then transfer to Switzerland etc. The amount of folks would probably be less than 200, but it's not a tiny amount. That would be the only excuse for the bravado of not negotiating further relative to uranium etc. Maybe they will require a strong initial strike to 'force' them out for optics but I think everything is largely agreed to at this point, and expect this will also lay the groundwork for what happens sequentially then in Havana.

The public statements should continue to be read with a skeptical eye, imho.

Fun facts, the Taj dome has some hooks / eyebolts on it from when it was draped during WWII to hide it from bombers.

Though Hitler was a collector of antiquities, they still worried this Islamic mausoleum would be targeted.

Beautiful place, except for the elephant that chased our us in the car down a street. Our driver and guide were quite animated.

But I agree targeting the shrines related to anything regarding the revolution there should be destroyed.
