Interesting that we have 4 KC135s in the air over Europe that all flew south to the med off the coast of Spain, then flew the length of the med to about Greece before turning back north and apparently heading back to the UK. Suggests to me that we had several groups of planes flying W to E across the Med that needed refueling on their way to somewhere. F-35s out of Moron or Rota maybe?

The tankers I was watching on ADSB were turning around near Crete and heading back to Lakenheath. At least one appeared to have diverted to somewhere in Germany or maybe Belgium.

Looks like a total of 10 KC-135 and KC-46s now headed up the east coast and across the upper midwest apparently headed towards Europe. Pretty significant tanker movement.
I don't think the US or Israel will attack during Ramadan, several of our allies like Saudi have warned against it. We are moving a TON of assets and Ramadan doesn't end until the end of March.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned are ground troops into the area but some of the C17 flights could have had soldiers on them. If we really do wait until the end of March I don't think it's just going to be air attacks. I do think there will be some attempts at green on blue or proxy attacks in the Middle East.

Between the ANG/Reserves and USAF we have something like 650 tankers so…yes, it's an exaggeration for attention but it is a lot of activity imho.
Not my area but I have read that for a squadron of fighters to cross the pond it involves something like 6 tankers (if the older -135's) as they have to plan for one to break down etc. so the fast jets don't run the risk of…having to ditch in the North Atlantic etc. All the coordination/logistics is pretty impressive, in itself.

I was a CPT in the Reserves and went to OCS with the ANG officers.
they must be very busy right now as nearly all of the KC-135 are Guard or Reserve aircraft.
