Not sure I like trading him in the division and letting them not have to play Anthony Davis at the 5 a lot, but I guess you get what you get. We get a future 1st rounder out of it.
If the Hornets are healthy, that is likely a #18-22 pick unless there are ridiculous restrictions on it, which there likely might be.
A lot of salary dump trades will have restrictions where if they aren't met within x years, the draft pick expires.
Spurs had one like that a few years back where it was a top-55 protected pick for three years and if the pick was never top-55, then the pick was cancelled and they got nothing.

Asik for New Orleans 2015 1st rounder (only if it's 10-30)? I'm ok with that trade. Now to find a spot for Lin

Plan A is Lebron, obviously
Plan B Is Melo
Plan C is Lowry and resigning Parsons
I'm not sure what the trade is, but supposedly there is already a trade lined up if we get one of the big FA that includes Lin.

Morey is a genius. Would feel bad for Bev, though if the Lowry thing happens. Earn All-defensive second team, and aren't starting anymore.
Why not use this pick as trade bait for a team to take on Lin's contract?

And so it begins...I guess that means one off-season move is guaranteed to be to find a backup center on the semi-cheap. Not sure a guy available at pick 25 is going to be ready to contribute this season, and the center free agent pool is underwhelming, but may be the only viable option.

This is what MIGHT happen.....
Rockets will hold on to Lin because they plan to move him with Parsons to Golden State (who have already said they would give up a pick for both players)
That deal only goes down if Lebron says he will come to Houston.
Houston would then sign and trade for Carmelo by giving the Knicks James Harden.
Then using the cap space to sign Lebron out right.
Everyone gets what they want.
Melo gets a max deal, Lebron plays with two players in his prime while getting a 90 mil contract.
Lebron will play on a young team where he is now the oldest player

Speculation article and doesn't say the Warriors said they would. It says they "may be interested in Parsons" which is something you could say about most teams. What NBA team wouldn't be interested in Parsons if they price worked for them?
