Apparently JLin is extremely ass hurt about Houston using his #7 on Melo today
I'm not a Lin fan, but I think he has a right to be upset. Bush league move by the Rockets organization.

What do the Rockets care? They already have a super-secret deal in place to trade Lin and take nothing back.
Is it really? It's just a number.
I think it is kind of a slap in the face to use the number of a current player under contract that you plan to dump as quick as possible to recruit a new player.
It's one of their current players' numbers. They might as well have noted at the bottom of the billboards "we don't care about Jeremy Lin." Aside from those kind of billboards looking like a cheap stunt to me, I can't get around throwing one of your players under the bus like that even if you are planning to trade him.

I'm in the who gives a sh** camp when it comes to Lin. Like David Aldridge said, he knew he was on the trading block and was told so by Rockets brass. It's a number, it's not sacred to him and he sure as heck hasn't earned it. Nobody cried when Howard took Bevs number. At the end of the day he is a backup point guard

My guess would be Anthony would go back to 15 since he couldn't wear it in New York
they definitely should have used 15 on the billboards and what not. Lin knows he's on his way out, but he's shown nothing but respect for the team. That being said. I don't want to pay him 15 mil next year. But Philly will, since they are tanking again.

I agree with that re: using #7 on Anthony on the marquee, but to me it's not something that deserves much attention.
If Philadelphia somehow took Lin off the Rox' books after taking Royce White, I'd be convinced that Morey has hypnotized Sam Hinkie.
