Playoff points don't count towards NBA numbers the way college football bowls count towards players' numbers.
Either way, those four players are very raw and inexperienced to be depended on as primary rotation players.

Ya.. I'm very positive about all of those guys.. but soup is right. No matter how hopeful we are, until they have numbers to back them up against nba competition.. we are just hoping.
Now.. I do believe these guyes (Canaan with regular backup role, Daniels with regular backup role, Dorsey backing up PF.. can provide as much or more than Lin, Asik, Garcia, and Casspi.. assuming they stay healthy. The athleticism and talent is clearly better. Is the production? I believe it will be.

The biggest bench problem is the loss of Asik. If Capela could step in and give us some aggressive and athletic 7'5" wingspan minutes it'll ease the blow.

Asik will definitely be the toughest to replace. I'm interested in how Capela develops. If Ibaka could develop into what he is now with Brooks' lack of a real system, I think Capela could as well. Hell, McHale should try and shape him into what he was during his playing days.
You do realize that McHale was on of the greatest post players of all time. Capella is a project that may never see considerable minutes in the NBA

I'm not sure what they want Harden to say. Box score stat lines lie like RBIs and batting average in baseball. By almost every good metric Harden was (in OKC) and is (now)an off the charts player per minute when you adjust for pace.
Parsons is hair strand better than league average player. At 26 he's not ever going to improve enough to make an All-Star team. I don't think even Dallas fans want build around Parsons. He was the best non-max value in the league but a role player. Now he's just qn overpaid role player. But I appreciate that Dallas is going all in. They've got the roster now to win by the 3 like last time. In 2010, the Mavs shot 36.5% from 3 while opponents shot 34.3%. In the playoffs they shot 39.4% while opponents shot 29.0%. Good luck trying to get random chance to smile on you again!

Did he enter the league as one of the best post players of all time? No. He was a shot blocker and role player off the bench to start, which isn't exactly too much to ask. Capela is similar to Serge Ibaka, who I'd say is doing pretty well for himself.

As long as you aren't looking at playoff stats you are probably correct with Harden. I havent looked. Just an observation.
Parsons might mature into an all star player. He's been in the league what? 3 years? And now he has a coach who actually can coach.

I'm now convinced about what some people allege about staff and their allegiance on the basketball other forum. What I posted doesn't even come within galaxies of the trolling y'all let simplebay get away with on a continuing basis. And there was nothing inflammatory or derogatory about it in any kind of way, shape, or form.
The comment wasn't even in the same league of jest that gets thrown around in this forum throughout the year by pretty much anyone that posts in this forum.

I honestly thought it didn't warrant that. However, the unnecessary and unprovoked jabs at Rockets fans on a rockets thread does seem to pile up from Spurs fans.
But some Rockets fans complain about posts from any non-Rockets fan, even if they are just discussing and not negative, baiting or disparaging in any way.
I can see why some of you disliked that post, but I don't think it is close to what we see undeleted by the Simplekick Murphy.
