It's just one guy posting his opinion, which I found somewhat interesting, and potentially plausible. As passionate as I am about the subject, and as much sh*t as I get for it, I find the way some of you jump all over these people to be equally as weird.

Also, you're completely missing his point, re: us being "rapidly habituated." He's not talking about via movies or TV or whatever. He's talking about our *own government* finally acknowledging these craft and these encounters, and how much the conversation has changed since 2017, when the New York Times article dropped. CBS recently conducted a nationwide poll gauging the percentage of Americans who believe in the existence of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe at 60%, up TEN PERCENT from the last poll they conducted 2017, before the NYT article dropped. That's a huge upswing in just four years. And if you haven't noticed the fever-pitch at which the mainstream media has been covering the topic in the past week, literally every day and night since the 60 Minutes piece aired, I don't know what to tell you. I've never in my life seen the subject being taken so seriously and being discussed so much on a national platform.

Aliens and UFOs have always been in the cultural zeitgeist. The change in government narrative, while fascinating in its own right, I think caused the public to reengage with the topic population rather than the ground shifting below our feet in terms of public interest.

Whenever the media jumps whole hog into something, shouldn't we all ask "why?" What reasons could there be to talk about something with the fervor you describe?

Middle East heating up?
Financial issues ahead?
Something involving the president that doesn't play well?
Covid distraction?
Etc

I don't know, but I will guess there is a reason other than the government confirming the existence of aliens.

The public is fascinated by UFOs. People watch the news when they cover this topic. More views equals more ad sales. I think that's the likely explanation.

Oh, and I suppose I should include "attempt to increase ratings," as I think the daily news shows largely suck in that department. It clearly worked for CBS and 60 Minutes

That's my question though, I thought they'd done that previously in the last few years. And not even confirm UFOs are real or anything. The pentagon acknowledged the videos are not doctored or fake.

Yes, the Pentagon finally acknowledged the authenticity of the videos last year. But then the new UAP report due to Congress next month was the more immediate catalyst/reasoning for the 60 Minutes piece, which then covered the broader, overall "catalyst" of the past four years.

Its not aliens. The odds of that are nearly impossible.

Inter dimensional beings or demons/ angels is way more likely than aliens.

I'd also go so far as to say that's more likely to be technology from an older HUMAN civilization and their descendants than aliens.

What if the inter dimensional beings live in their dimension on earth, our matter and energy and what makes earth what it is in our dimension is mirrored in their dimension in some way. So they are native earthlings, always next to us, always have been, but in a separate dimension that they live in, and with the power or technology to bridge dimensions. THAT is more likely than thinking it's aliens.

Aliens... you're a damn fool if you believe that what our government is showing us is aliens.

I don't think this stuff represents evidence of aliens, but the reality is that we at least have demonstrable proof of sentient life by nature of our own existence. If we exist here, it is possible a more advanced form of life capable of interstellar travel exists elsewhere. I don't think that's the case, but the chances are above zero.

String theory says there is 12 or 13 dimensions. There is more evidence of there being other dimensions than there is evidence of aliens existing simply because we exist.

You're thinking that humans existing in our dimension or universe is 'evidence' of the possibility of aliens also being in our dimension and universe. I'd say that our existing in our dimension points more towards the other dimensions also having some type of life or beings. Or is our dimension the only one that can have sentient beings?

Aliens... yeah right. Whatever the US government exposes to the public has a purpose and direction behind it, them publicly saying, "we don't know what this or they are..." is just a bunch lies.
