So at the end of the day we're left with a government report where they have no incentive to tell the truth and human reports of "physics defying" craft. Hard evidence tbd.

It's hilarious that this board skewered the Qanons (rightfully so) but some how space time bending aliens is totally legit.

Something noteworthy is clearly happening, which has been my point on this thread, Spyder's thread, and our dearly departed Q thread.

In this case, it is indisputable our known laws of physics can be broken.

uh, it's disputable.

Give me a break. Qanon was steeped in provable falsehoods perpetuated by some of the worse this country has to offer, who have since admitted to making it all up. Taking the word of some of the best and brightest pilots/military personnel in the country, who each took an oath to protect our freedoms and whom the government trusts with millions of dollars worth of equipment and technology, isn't even remotely in the same ballpark as falling for the sh*tshow that was Qanon.

No one is calling the pilots liars. Just positing that "just b/c they don't know what it is doesn't mean it's not our gov's tech."

I agree with you there.

Just saying the Qanon equivalency is ridiculous.

Yes, believing that there are aliens that can bend space and time is just as stupid as believing there is a global cabal that gets off on child trafficking and whatever else Qanons believe. A retired General took the "q oath" so hiding under the military's skirt isn't a great idea.

Pilots are still humans, and even the best of us suck at providing reliable testimony. And despite all our technology we still only have out of focus videos for evidence.

The universe is 14 billion years old. And, for all intents and purposes, virtually infinite.

What's *stupid* is believing that other advanced civilizations haven't evolved during that time, throughout the cosmos, given the virtually infinite galaxies and suns and habitable planets and possibilities a universe as unfathomably large as ours provides. Any civilization that had even a thousand-year head start on us, not to mention a million or even billion-year head start, is almost assuredly capable of what we would consider magic today. We can't possibly comprehend the discoveries they've made or the "laws" they've likely broken or even the alternate dimensions (quantum or otherwise) they've potentially gained access to.

The arrogance, and ignorance, of people like you, and much of humanity in general, will never cease to amaze me. The same people who swore the earth was flat, and who executed people for claiming the sun was the center of the solar system, are of the same ilk as those who mock the idea of advanced alien life now, and are convinced that the material world we perceive with our very limited senses and intellect (along with the "laws" us humans ascribe to it) is all there is.

Time and again we've been convinced our place and superiority in the universe. Time and again we've been convinced of what can't happen. Yet, throughout our existence, we've been continually proven wrong on both accounts. So it just blows my mind that after all of that - and all that we now know we don't know - there are *still* people who choose to believe that we have it all figured out, and that what very well is, simply can't be, in a universe literally made of limitless possibility, perceived by a species constrained by, and made of, myriads limits.

If you're being ignorant, I'm going to call you ignorant.

Definitively claiming that believing in advanced alien life is stupid, while simultaneously comparing me to a Qanaon follower, falls directly in that category.

I'm sorry if that ruffles your feathers.
Jugstore Cowboy

I don't have feathers. I'm not even a bird. But dude, you get personal quick with a lot of posters, on a lot of topics.
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
Because people constantly choose to get personal with me.

People give me sh*t all the time on this board for working in Hollywood, defending certain "lib" tendencies, and now, apparently, for believing in aliens. I ignore the vast majority it. But I'm also someone who's going to stick up for myself and my beliefs from time to time.

I don't just go around starting fights and looking to be offended. Far from it.

In this particular instance, I innocuously posted something in relation to the UAP report, someone then mockingly compared those of us who believe in this stuff to Qanon followers, and then, in another post, insinuated that I was "stupid" for my beliefs as they pertain to the overall topic. I responded in kind, yet *I'm* the one getting called out - not the guy comparing us to Qanon and insinuation that we're stupid - which seems kind of odd, but whatever.

TNNCS and I have had our differences but it is essential to defend him here. He started this thread, he follows this topic closely, and he is informed and passionate.

Let's focus on the topic at hand.

Calling out the hypocrisy of the entire board is getting personal to you?

And you claim you welcome debate yet every time someone challenges your posts you get defensive and get personal yourself.

I have no problem believing there is life beyond Earth, be it single celled organisms or even intelligent beings. My problem is as soon as an alien believer is questioned on how did they get here, the conversation immediately shifts to bending space time and inter-dimensions.

To date we have zero scientific evidence that any of this is possible. Make the flat earth correlation if you want, but it doesn't hold up. The more we learn the more it only reinforces what we know now about the physical world. Just because time is really long doesn't make impossible things possible.

Will things we know now change over time? Of course, no one has denied that. But getting all indignant because someone asks for more evidence than grainy video and pilot testimony doesn't really help your argument. At the end of the day I just find it funny that believers claim to deal in facts, yet as soon as they're questioned they jump to fiction.

I'm all for redirecting all of the forthcoming, new welfare spend to this issue. It's far more important that we figure this out than spending billions more keeping people at home.

Right, this is my objection as well. We may someday discover a way to travel FTL and make interstellar travel easier if our civilization manages to last a billion years. But light from our solar system to interstellar observers (assuming there are any) is eternally locked at the speed of light. This is a fact that can't be handwaved away. For anyone/thing to know of our existence and location, the window for observation is less than 100 years. Not millions or billions, but decades. That isn't flat-earth territory.

I think my biggest complaint in all this is the idea that because the universe is old and vast, then there must be life elsewhere. Further, that the life elsewhere must be more advanced. The certainty with which people talk about it is also arrogance. For one thing, just bc a thing is possible does not mean it is certain. Secondly, even if there is life somewhere else there is no guarantee it is more advanced than a worm.

Yes, I believe they're real objects.

No, I do not believe they're objects piloted by aliens that can bend space and time. If you have evidence to the contrary I'd be happy to see it.

Some of the Reddit comments refer to someone entwined in all of this (McMillan?) who says the triangle is one of ours. Any of you who follow closely have any reading in this?

A rumor has been going around the past few months that Lue Elizondo apparently told someone that we *do* know who pilots the triangles, but we *don't* know who pilots the tic tacs. That he actually said that has never been verified, though - I don't know why people don't just ask him if he said it or not - but it's always sounded suspect to me.

Either way, combine that with the fact that certain "experts," for myriad reasons, have postulated that the triangles could be ours (like the Phoenix Lights in 1997), and that theory has continued to percolate somewhat. Or, rather, the UFO community has been more open to the triangles being ours, since they're rarely seen defying the laws of physics, and are instead often reported as hovering soundlessly/moving slowly.

All that said, come Tuesday, it sounds like Jeremy Corbell MIGHT be releasing an actual video of this incident, if that's what these images are, indeed, from. And if we do, in fact, see this thing emerge from or go into the water at that angle, that will likely change a lot of those opinions pretty fast.

I thought the Phoenix lights had been debunked as balloons with lights on tethers, demonstrated by repeating them elsewhere?

Sorry if this has been hashed out on the thread. Let me know if it has and I'll find it.
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?

The Phoenix Lights were never debunked. I've seen two different groups try to recreate them both with flares and balloons and neither came close to replicating the effect.

That said, there are no doubt people who still *believe* they were either balloons of flares, but there has never been anything close to an official debunking.

Especially considering the sheer number of people who reported seeing a silent, slow-moving black triangle in the area that evening/night, prior to the infamous lights.

You literally just quoted someone whose Twitter alias reads "bury my cock in her" as evidence. Good thing this is already on the entertainment board.

He's just some random dude I saw retweeted, who had the photos embedded in a tweet I could post, instead of cropping and posting all four photos myself. These were FIRST posted to reddit, at the link I *also* provided. I'm not saying they're the real deal, but either way, whoever then randomly relayed them to Twitter is utterly irrelevant and has absolutely nothing to do with whatever "evidence" there may or may not be. Good try, though.
