Re: Roswell, I hear you. For what it's worth, deeper investigating points to two crashed alien craft. We know for a fact that there were lightning storms that night, so I could potentially buy a scenario in which two craft somehow collided in mid air, in the midst of a lightning storm. Yes, even that scenario is obviously still highly unlikely, but it at least provides a somewhat plausible explanation.
Honestly, to me, the most compelling aspect of the whole thing is Jesse Marcel's story and actions, which are what the docuseries focuses on. From his role in Hiroshima, to what he went through in Roswell, and the circumstances in which he left the military, it all absolutely points to *something* rocking his world and shaking his faith in our government as a whole, and it's just so interesting to hear. To the point where I've been giving serious consideration to wanting to try and make a movie that focuses on HIS story, specifically, in the whole ordeal. No alien bodies, no typical Roswell schlock, just HIS part and experience alone could be make for such a compelling story (and yes, there was a terrible, half-assed TV movie in the mid '90s starring Kyle MacLachlan as Marcel, but it doesn't really even come close to doing Marcel justice).
