Ha, exactly.

All that said, it sounds like this would be a MAJOR design flaw. Just aim an EMP in their general direction and they're done. If true, I'm sure it's infinitely more complicated than that, but still.

Let's think about it for just a sec...

They make these engines that get them across the universe...but have a terrible design flaw...but they don't worry about it b/c they're in weightless vacuum. Then they cross into Earth's atmosphere and BOOM.

For the umpeenth time, "across the universe" is a big assumption on our part. If they've mastered space-time, distance would be irrelevant to them. That said, again, the EMP of it all would obviously be an incredibly stupid design flaw. Just funny to think about, that's all.

across the universe, through bent space, yeah yeah..

Ha, did you even read the post you quoted? Or the one I wrote before that? I'm in complete agreement.

I like how simple you try to make that seem.

Just saying it's not the impossible feat so many make it out to be.

Hmmm, well there was the report of the the ufo that shot the helicopter in Italy with some sort of EMP type weapon. Maybe they were thinking it would just make it drop from the sky.

Agreed. And good point.

Screw this talk.

Let's see dem aliens. IM READY.

As for the whole secret nazi base thing, I think it's pretty crazy demons or actual extraterrestrials are more likely but I agree. Where the hell would they be? This is ALL Sci fi movie stuff so I guess it's funny but it's not a serious consideration.

As for whether or not it's russia or China - a possibility but at the end of the day both are at least, on the books, lesser than us.

I think if we ignore aliens as a possibility for a second, the most plausible explanation is US black ops where even the front facing government and military isn't aware of it. Hence the press releases.

anyway, let's see dem aliens
CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

Even the physicist responsible for the theoretical warp drive says that FTL is not possible...if we accept that then distance is always relevant.

Again, we can't possibly know what their motivations would/wouldn't be. They may very well have a mandate to not influence or interact beyond a certain threshold, but otherwise don't give a sh*t if they're seen. I don't know why people keep thinking it's some kind of trump card to say they would otherwise show/hide themselves, and limit their motivations to basic human logic/assumptions.

I may disagree with you on a lot of political topics but I'm with you 100% on this man. Let's friggin go.

Here's a fact:

SOMETHING HAS BEEN CONCLUSIVELY BREAKING THE KNOWN LAWS OF PHYSICS

BUT. According to some of the logic in this thread, as long as I post one thing seemingly discounting one aspect of one recorded encounter, even though I really have no idea what I'm talking about, that means the entire the phenomenon is bunk, and it's then perfectly acceptable to ignore all other context, testimony, and data across 70+ years.

We have military scientific specialists (yes, including pilots) stating that known laws of physics were being broken. Many such statements.

How exactly do doubters explain this away? And, if tech from Russia or China is the cause, does anyone really believe that such a human discovery - PHYSICS LAWS AS WE KNEW THEM ARE WRONG - would remain publicly unknown?

Really?

A meaningless claim.

It's really not. Not when THIS many pilots and military specialists are ALL saying the same thing. And have been for decades. It just baffles me how some of you can so easy discount this. These people are either witnessing/studying something real, or we have hundreds of pilots constantly hallucinating/misidentifying the exact same things. Again, in a vacuum, you can obviously discount one pilot's claims. I get that. But to discount what so many of them are saying they're seeing, over and over and over again - corroborated by all kinds of additional personnel and tracking data - is such a nonsensical position to take, one that I would argue requires an equally incredible/concerning explanation as "aliens."

According to our current knowledge, it is literally impossible. I get that you're excited for this, but let's quit pretending that the people who aren't buying into space/time bending aircrafts are some sort of crazies.

Groupthink is real. People misidentify and misremember things all the time. It's common knowledge that good intentioned people regularly tell stories that they heard and in their mind they were there when in reality they were not. And the vast majority of the pilots you are speaking of are viewing the objects through images passed through sensors.

Is it strange that all these pilots are describing similar events? Sure. But it's a little less strange when you realize they do have something to gain, and the more incredible the story the better. It's human nature. But it's infinitely less strange than thinking it's an alien or a demon or some underwater civilization.

becuase if they can do interstellar or dimensional travel, they are going to have sensors that would enable them to view and assess a planet without ever entering the atmosphere. so there is no reason they would even need to do a teaser drive-by. hell our ****ty primitive solar system probes with our limited tech give us a lot of information.
better spectrometers, better imagers better magnification would allow them to remain unseen and get as much detail as teh rive-bys.

This kind of bugs me as well. If they don't want to be seen then they must have technology allowing them to remain hidden. But Lue Elizondo had a good point in an interview. If scientists are studying wildebeests and fly over a herd in a helicopter and it freaks out the wildebeests, the scientists aren't going to stop and explain what's going on and show them the inside of the helicopter.
