No worries. When I get a chance I'll type up why their analysis was flawed. Likely won't be until this weekend as I'm in the middle of a job transition.

In short, they have a few arbitrary variables in there that they failed to show any kind of sensitivity analysis on. They applied the formulas "correctly", but not in a way that actually allows for any meaningful conclusions because of how they defined them and because of the variables they left out.

Rereading it, it sounded harsher than intended - please take it as good natured ribbing. I say things all the time where I stop myself realizing what I said sounded goofy, I just thought that particular sentence read funny.

Interesting read. For the believers and the non-believers I'd say why can't we have both?

My Mom and I witnessed UFOs in So Cal that made the news in 1980 or '81. Both of my parents worked for NSA and believed in UFOs and extraterrestrials.

I also believe strongly in God and a higher power. I don't think the presence of one denies the presence of the other.

This thread should not be used to discount or rail on either side. Keep it on the topic of UFO / USO.

The MiG 25 freaked a lot of people out when it first appeared, as it seemed to signal that the Soviets had made a giant leap in supersonic fighter technology. Then Victor Belenko defected in 1976 by flying his Foxbat to Japan, and we were able to examine the MiG 25 first hand. Concerns eased a lot after that.

Is it more likely that the Russians really invented the Tic Tac craft? Or aliens? Hmmmmm.
