Ah. Then I would disagree, good sir!
I will add that you also see sorcery as inherent to the individual. They can just do it naturally whereas wizards have to "learn" it. To build on what was already said.

I don't think he is though. That locker room scene shows a lot of uncertainty.redline248 said:
Why do people like Walker? At least based on this episode, he seems arrogant and cocky. Doesn't pull it off like Tony
This was the 1st time in the episode where I thought his arrogance came through, subtle as it was. Then he had that smug "this guy" deal when asked who authorized the stuff with Bucky at the police station, and obviously, the threat to Sam and Bucky.Quote:
Yeah, 4 times. I have this thing I do with my helmet...

Just had an out of left field thought, but Zemo killed off the other Winter Soldiers in Civil War because he said he didn't want to see more of them in the world. I wonder if Marvel will pull the old switcharoo and make him a pseudo good guy here. Helping Sam and Bucky stop/prevent more super soldiers from being created.
We laughed b/c after profiling Sam, the cops actually end up arresting the white guy. People standing around are like, "didn't see that coming".Quote:
I've really liked the two episodes so far. The race stuff took me a little by surprise in the first episode but you could see it coming a mile away in episode two. Ultimately I didn't think it was overly preachy or obtrusive. Just a nod that those feelings exist and it's part of a life experience.

Wasn't the Korean War the first time blacks and whites were integrated in battle? Korean War is definitely the forgotten war, few movies about it. It was a challenging war too. A lot of potential for good storytelling. I hope we see that fight between Isaiah and winter soldier someday.
Will he tell Sam to...TXAG 05 said:Baba Ganoush said:

I was thinking they may use him as a Hannibal Lector to help track down who is making the new super soldiers.

My memories of watching MASH tell my this is correct.
There is a great army video for m ww2 that tells soldier about the cultural differences between the UK and home. One of the most shocking is when they touch on race relations.
That is Burgess Meredith! Too funny! Plus Bob Hope at the 30 min mark.Duncan Idaho said:Duncan Idaho said:Batzarro said:

As a bonus, the lead is the penguin
Jump to 25:15 or so for the part I was referring to.

Yes, it came after Truman's EO to desegregate the armed forces. However, a lot of commanders essentially refused or undermined the order (including MacArthur).Batzarro said:

I feel like you are being slightly sarcastic but I can't quite tell....Duncan Idaho said:
What a great observation. It is almost like it could be used as the backdrop for a long running dramady. I bet it would probably end up being viewed as one of the greatest works of Television ever made.

If MASH is our on film gold standard for the Korean War and that's all we ever really get then that is kind of pathetic.
[BTW, the movie was better than the tv show.]

I thought MASH was set in Korea, but used more as a commentary on Vietnam.

Yall can go into this nonsense, but not viewing formats?
Let's bring it back now.
Big-time character cameo expected in episode 5. This is always the episode where the writer expected people to cry.

My guess, 100% guess, not read any leaks (if there are any) is old man Cap. Or maybe... Mephisto.
That's a solid guess. It covers the potential crying, but who would the cameo be?Beat40 said:Farmer1906 said:

That may be true.
I've been guessing Zemo tells the old man Buck killed his son. Or the old man finds out another way.
