That final trailer Farmer posted is fantastic. Very much looking forward to the plot of this one.

Sam giving some speech in the beginning makes it seem to me like they are towing some sort of government line. Or could it be Captain America's funeral? The attacks start to happen from the girl and the other dude. Then the duel line from Sam and Bucky saying if they're going to do this, they're going to do it their way. Agent 13 showing up.

Hoping we get some sort of renegade hero plot.

I think there will definitely be a plot line around the government trying to make Sam a cap mascot kind of figure, while at the same time trying to quietly get rid of Bucky

I haven't thought of an angle where someone is trying to get rid of Bucky.

Interested to see where Zemo fits into all of this.

I mean I don't think the government is going to try to kill him. After all he's got all the surviving avengers on his side. But I'm sure the government would like him to go back to Wakanda and take up goat farming or something.

As much as I want to watch it, I'm going to avoid that trailer because my brain won't let me forget some quick glimpse of a sequence that hasn't happened yet and therefore be constantly thinking about what I know to be ahead. My brain sucks.

Far From Home is ~8 months from Endgame so this should be right before that. I wonder if it addresses why Winter Soldier, Falcon, War Machine, etc weren't available for Far From Home. Maybe they're not that top-level like Thor, Strange, Marvel, or Spidey.

I wonder if the MCU is going to start ignoring Spider-Man somewhat. It doesn't seem like Sony is really committed to collaborating. We get another Spider-Man movie this year right? I know the rumor is that it will really lean into the multiverse. I wonder if that's just a way to get Spider-Man out of interacting with the MCU.

I loved FFH, but it always felt odd that they put that out so soon after Endgame, especially with the complete 180 in tone after the bittersweet ending we got in Endgame.

You'd think they would have let the MCU breathe a little bit before jumping into that, but I guess it was more of a Sony decision than a Marvel one. I do wonder if Marvel has any say in that universe at all.

Starting to wonder if SM3 isn't going to tie in as heavily into the future of the MCU as I'd previously hoped. Especially with what happened (or what DIDN'T happen) in Wandavision.

If so, disappointing.

Probably. Rumors are they MCU would give up Holland/Peter Parker (again out of a high school student at 25 this year) in order to get Miles Morales. Either way, I think the MCU should do whatever it needs to in order to make Spider-Man a focal point of the next Avengers movies. He's the only one in my mind that could lead like Iron Man or Captain. I mean I love Winter Soldier, my favorite character, but he's not leading the Avengers. He can lead the Thunderbolts or some B list Avengers.I am going off on a tangent. Circle back to F&WS.

Thor is going away. Strange makes the most sense character-wise in the MCU. But I am just talking about the name value of Spider-Man. He's Marvel's biggest "name".

I'm excited for the new Captain America comic solely for the writer, Christopher Cantwell. He was co-showrunner on Halt and Catch Fire and is currently writing a very good Iron Man comic.
