I suspect all of this is Trump blustering to get a better deal negotiated and that could be bigger than Greenland specifically. As an example, he could push Europe for more antagonistic policies with China.
I would be strongly opposite to a military solution. We could absolutely take it but the domino effect from that decision would be counterproductive imo. We don't need Europe becoming chummy with China.
I can understand all that and get behind it, but full blown military action would cause ripples so massive it would be devestating to any Americans outside the top 1% whose wealth and position can insulate them.
Prescriptions alone would be impossible to afford or find. Not to mention food, electricity, sensors and chips which would stop every production line that requires both which are so many items these days.
Prescriptions - this is a strategic critical issue for us and one that should be corrected. However, if countries withheld drugs then they are inviting massive retaliation and they know that.
Food - we are the most food secure country on the planet (and it's not close) and can 100% feed ourselves. Not an issue.
Electricity - we are 100% energy independent if we need to be. Not an issue.
Sensors - can't speak to this.
Chips - I doubt other countries would commit economic suicide by withholding chips to us.
Frito Lay is based in Plano. We'll be fine.
